Have you ever tried adding an ‘extra’ layer to your stencils? Today I share 2 ways that you can do this!
These layering flower stencils are HUGE and can really dominate a card, but what about adding an extra special layer….. of texture!
Would you like to see today’s cards?

#ADDTEXTURE
My first idea uses this bigger-than-life layering bloom!

After blending the layers of stencil I came back in with the 3rd layer and added some glitter drops.

The glitter drops allowed the layers of ink to show through and was easy to cut down to fit my card front.

My second idea was to create my own matching colored embossing paste This was easy to do using some co-ordinating ink colors.

This time I used only the final layer of the stencil, but you could easily change it up to suit your project.

I thought both of these would make lovely Wedding Cards.

I hope you are inspired to add some texture to your layered stencils! And if you do, I’d love to see it so please tag me on social media!
Til next time, happy papercrafting! Hugs,

So happy that you liked these Jan!
The color combinations is beautiful, Therese, and I love the extra layer with colored texture paste and sparkly Nuvo drops.
You are so sweet, thank you Bobby!
I particularly like the sparkly one – very glamorous!
Yes, me too, that’s my fave!
I never thought to use Nuvo drops in this way– BRILLIANT! I love the large images and layered stencils are my new “go-to”. I cannot wait to try this– thank you for the ideas!
I am loving all things stencil right now too, especially the layering ones! I’m pretty sure that it was Carlytee.com where I saw her using the drops to make blended backgrounds, she is brilliant!
Both are such great textures, but I like shiny things. Lol. Just beautiful cards.
What a great way to extend using stencils. Beautiful cards as always!
