Have you ever made your own designs in Cricut Design Space? It’s actually not that difficult to do, but don’t stress, you can take the easy way out, I’m going to share mine with you.
Recently I was asked about these Christmas cards I made HERE and if there was anything similar in Cricut Design Space… so that got me thinking. How difficult could it be to make my own version… You can see how it came together so that you can recreate your own OR you can access mine to make it in Cricut Design Space* (scroll down for the links and video tutorial)!

To be honest this card came together very quickly, including creating the image in Design Space, I love how easy it is to navigate the website and use this machine! I think I may have been inspired by the videos I’ve been watching at the Summit 🥰.

I decided to add flowers to make this card for the ‘girls’ but you could easily adapt it to make a more masculine design. Or if you are feeling adventurous maybe you could try your own sentiment in an A2 window!
BONUS IDEA: This card does not have to be a ‘shaker’, you can make it easy to post by adhering the top layer directly to the card base!

Fantastic card,I haven’t used my cricut for ages so it was a great refresher course for me.Also loved the tip about adding a second layer of acetate I will definitely be doing that on my future shaker cards.I’ve signed up for the summit so looking forward to that and playing with my Cricut again.
Marie
How wonderful Marie, I can’t wait to see you there!
It’s a great card Therese. I’m still contemplating whether I want the Cricut or the Scan and Cut.
It’s a big decision I agree. For me, the biggest bonus of the scan n cut is the fact that you could save money on dies if you are coordinating die person…. from memory the mats are more expensive (because of the scan function) but that may be worth it. I do know that I had a different machine years ago where the computer program that came with it was difficult to use and so I didn’t, so I would make sure that you feel confident to learn the program that comes with the machine. Design Space (by Cricut) is a breeze to use, and from what I hear the Scan n cut is easy too, but that is where I would start. Watch a couple of videos navigating the program when you have a chance. There are crafters who use both so maybe there are comparison videos out there too. There’s no real wrong decision, you will have fun with whichever one you get!
It is so very sweet! Love that you created your own design.
So glad you like it LIsa, it’s fun creating in a program like this!
