Do you feel like you are on repeat sometimes 😄? I know, I hear you right, but today’s ‘repeat’ is a little different, it comes in the form of crafty time!
But first, I wanted to let you know that this is part of my Take 2 Series with Altenew and I’m so excited that you are joining me for another video today. Let’s begin with a peek at today’s cards…
Technique: Repeat Pattern
The name says it all, this is a very EASY technique that anybody can do. There are many ways to create repeat patterns. You can use stamped images either as ‘line art’ or coloured… how about a geometric design, either stamped or die cut? But for us today, I am going to be using die-cut images!
Idea #1 – Polish Papercuts!
The Polish Papercuts 3D die set was built for this lol. Not only can the images be made in layers but the pattern possibilities are endless. You can mix and match til your hearts delight!
I decided to use some bright fun colours to make my cheerful cards today.
BONUS IDEA: Imagine a little bit of design paper sprinkled among these flowers, or what about creating a black and white design using shades of grey!
And the sentiments are clean and simple from one of my fave sets called Hello and Hugs.
Idea #2 – Lovely Envelope!
So I went looking through my dies and was initially thinking about layering up some flowers for my second card. But when I started cutting out the hearts from the Lovely Envelope Die Set I changed plan and made this card all about creating a pattern with hearts.
I kept similar colours and created layered patterns within a pattern which is similar to my first design.
But this time I did change it up and made it into a circle card. I think this would also be a fabulous ‘gift tag’ card!
