Do you adore layered die cut flowers? You may already know that I certainly do, and today I have a new idea to share!
And I have some sad news, Ellen Hutson is closing the warehouse doors after 17 years of amazing inspiration and support in our papercrafting industry. I wish Ellen all the very best and want to say a HUGE thank you for her support and encouragement over the years.
She is moving to be closer to family and you can help her quickly achieve this goal and SAVE $$$ at the same time, as she is clearing out the warehouse. Check out the ONLINE STORE HERE for the SALE! Keep an eye out though, there will be some of her fabulous designs still available at Amazon!

Check out these beautiful Layered Orchids, they are from the Essentials By Ellen collection at Ellen Hutson.

But there is something different about the first one… did you notice? The flowers are made from crepe paper!

And back to basics with my second design and it time for a cardstock version.

For all the details along with tips and tricks head to the Ellen Hutson Blog HERE.

I know right, the stamps are inspiring!
Absolutely beautiful cards. Always loved your makes with this brands, especially the images with the little cars and scooters.
Thank you Dee!
Both cards are beautiful, Therese. I love the black background that makes the orchids pop.
Yes, that one seems to be the winner today!
I’m going to miss Ellen Hutson and all of the EBE designs. Placed my last order there a couple of days ago. 😢 As for your cards, I like them both! The first one is very soft and the second one is more fun. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Tammy! I think she is going to be selling some stamps on Amazon, but don’t hold me to that lol.
I just love your card today. That paper is lovely. Ellen Hutson has been my favorite of the online stores since I discovered them. Great customer service and great products. I fell in love with the Pro sketch markers which I found there. In fact, you were the person who I saw first using the markers.
Yes, I totally agree Linda, they are so similar to colouring with Copics and so much cheaper!
Stunning cards! Such sad and happy news about Ellen. Hugs.
I agree x
I always wondered what layered die cut flowers would look like with crepe paper….mystery solved! Gorgeous! Thank you 🙂
Next challenge, have you tried layered die cuts with colored vellum?
I will miss Ellen Hutson’s shop. Always had such unique Essentials by Ellen stamps and dies. I love the Mondo, Leading Lady and Bear Ware series. Good Luck to Ellen in her next adventure!
…mmm can’t remember if I have tried coloured vellum die cuts but definitely regular vellum, thanks for the challenge my friend lol. And yes, sad but happy news for Ellen!
So sad to hear Ellen Hudson is closing shop, I don’t ship often but I do love her brand. Love your cards and doing the flowers in crepe so much more beautiful. Soft like real petals, love it xx
Thank you Aileen, i am loving the crepe ‘softness’!
It’s certainly bitter sweet but so happy for Ellen. Loved both the cards. The crepe paper orchids look so soft and life like. I so admire how you think outside the box when creating.
Thank you so much Lisa x

So glad you liked them Angellica!
Sad about Ellen Hutson closing. I always enjoyed seeing what you did with their products.
I know right, it’s sad but also good for her. I can’t imagine 17 years of running a store!
