Today I found a few minutes to try Laura’s ombre background technique. I adore gingham, especially on baby cards so thought that the ombre style would be perfect especially with this fab onesie die cut from Paper Smooches.

Have a great weekend, I’m sure to be back real soon!

Such a darling card, Therese! I love how you used the onesie die for your aperture with the gingham background, and how you created the ombre effect with your inks…so sweet!
What an adorable baby card … love your ombre effect.
This is one cool ombre baby card!!!!! Love the embossed plaid 🙂
Gorgeous..such a great idea too!
Gorgeous. Great effect.Thanks for sharing.
This looks fantastic! I made a card with this technique as well and really loved how it turned out. I didn’t know you could blend ink over embossing so Laura’s tutorial was brilliant. Will definitely do this more often. And it looks adorable in gingham!!
A gorgeous baby card Therese! You make me chuckle “a few spare minutes… To make a card!!” I’d need at least an hour a half!
A few spare minutes to create this darling card? That adds to the impressive; I’d need an hour plus to create, not to mention the several hours to figure it out…as I discovered in my as yet unposted ‘background’ ombre card. Love the gingham, and pairing it with the ‘onesie’ window is sooooo brilliant! Delightful!!

Looks awesome Therese. Ombre certainly suits the gingham. I haven’t had time to try any of the techniques from class yet.
