WoW! This was a fun LIVE and I had sooo many ideas but in the end decided on 5 Stencil techniques starting with…
- Alcohol Ink Lift – from Jennifer McGuire – I have to say I struggled with this first technique, but I did get it to work and the answer was easy!
I used Isopropyl Alcohol (thanks for the tip guys) and it was game changer… the ink was gone in seconds lol.
2. Layered Heat Embossing – from Jo Herbert and probably my fave from today using Altenew’s Layered Dahlia Stencil and some ‘Pick Me Up‘ WoW embossing powders.
I added the Waterbrush Hello Die and a simple Hello and Hugs subsentiment.
3. Dry Embossing – this time I used the Square Weave Pattern Stencil and added a sentiment from That Thing You Did.
and a sneaky little Backyard Party Animal in there too lol.
4. Watercolour and Stencils – this is the Mega Blooms Stencil from Altenew…. I wanted something with a ‘fine’ line to try out my new Pixie Spray.
I used the Metallic Watercolours and some Stonehenge watercolour cardstock.
5. Layered Stencils & MISTI Hack – Cathy Zielske and Simon Hurley This time I used the Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Peonies.
and then I took it to the next level with some Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel. I also added a simple sentiment from the Fragile Foliage Stamp Set.

Thanks so much Michele, I was determined lol. My back up plan was to go back and add more ink but in the end I didn’t need to,it literally took only a minute after I changed the solution. Thanks yet again for all your support and encouragement, love you!

Such great backgrounds. I think I fall into the category of buying stencils and not using them – oh that’s right not just stencils! most of my stuff should be used more hehe there just isn’t enough hours in my day! I have tried eons ago to heat emboss a stencil it was a mess! maybe I should try again. Add it to the list hehe ….

technically I’m not in lock down… but I am because I need to abide by lock down rules to go to work…. confusing for sure. Feeling for you guys x
I think it is going to be more than a week… frustrating as you no sooner get a routine going and it changes again. Hoping we are clear before the beginning of September.
