Do you ponder over a stamp set wondering what to create? Today I share with you the first of
4 cards, giving you ideas and inspiration to stretch your stamps. I am using the Peekaboo Party Animals Set from Ellen Hutson. But, you could certainly change up these designs to suit the stamps you have on hand. I thought I would give you 4 technique ideas over the next few weeks to inspire you.
And here is the star of the show,
Technique #1 – Grouping Images!
There are many different ways to do this. Today I chose to group all my images in the lower portion of the card. I also decided to ‘cut off’ the critter’s bodies and arms, I love that this gives them a different look (definitely going along with that ‘Peekaboo’ vibe).

BONUS IDEA: You can group images anywhere on a card, in the centre, or even at the top! And, it doesn’t have to be critters, this also works well for floral or geometric designs too.

I did some simple Copic colouring and kept the card bright and fun. And did you see that I altered one of the critters to make a Panda?
PRO TIP: You have a stamp set and don’t know what to do?? Simply stamp out the images and start colouring them in your favourite medium. Once you have them coloured it will be much easier to picture them on a card and create a design!

Let me know in the comments below if you like to ‘group images’ on your card designs? And if you try this technique I’d love you to share them with me! Where do you think I may go next with this set?

So cute. I love the designs.
Love your card and many of your other designs and techniques. I like to group my designs, often in a diagonal line.
I agree, that is a fabulous way to create a focal point!
I have trouble with just one image so grouping for me is very difficult.Such a cute card and thanks for the tips.
