On Repeat – Dark Backgrounds!
Oh yes, it’s becoming a ‘thing’. This time I have used the Dark Gray cardstock and added dimension with a 3D embossing folder which I think coordinated perfectly with these beautiful blooms. It’s called Perfect Poinsettias (and you may have seen me use it before 😉).
I decided to use these Linear Life: Poinsettias a little differently than they were intended. To me, they look like flowers that should be watercoloured or used with the coordinating stencils. But, I wanted to see how they looked ‘coloured’ with Artist Markers, I was surprised at how different they look and beautiful they are!
I chose bold colours for the bouquet to ensure that the flowers ‘popped’ on the dark background. And leaving a white border around the background panel helped to tie the white elements together.
