Do you mix stamping and die cutting… and it’s not the co ordinating kind 😉? Check out the combo I made up today!
But first, I wanted to let you know that this post contains a ton of affiliate links (at no extra cost to you – just in case you decide to go shopping ) and that it is part of a Hop celebrating a new release from Altenew and you can find all of the hop details in the link list below!

#MIXINGITUP
Do you love layered die cut flowers as much as I do? I have to say that the Craft-A-Flowers are my fave (no bias here lol.)
It’s not difficult to mix a combination of dies and stamps to get the ‘look’ that you want. In fact, it’s a great way to stretch your supplies and your brain too. I simply looked through my stash to find some beautiful leaf images that would suit the Anemone Blue Poppy flowers (although they are not so blue).

I wanted multi coloured leaves in the background and chose a mix of dark, light and blue greens, but wouldn’t this look great with a grey green combination of leaves too.
PRO TIP: If you prefer, you can also add some die cut leaves as well, it’s a great way to add to that layered look.

I blended a little colour onto the die cut petals but you could also cut them from coloured cardstock for a bolder design. I considered ‘no sentiment’, but I struggle with that… so I added a simple stamped and die cut one.

BONUS IDEA: Don’t have watercolours, or not sure if you like the idea? Did you know that you can watercolour with dye inks to see if you like it, check out how in my 10 Top Tips for Watercolouring Live VIDEO HERE.
