#HOLIDAYTREECARDS

Using traditional Christmas colors doesn’t mean you can’t put a modern twist on your holiday cards! Today I’m sharing two cards using a layered tree stamp from the latest Holiday release. One keeps it clean and simple with a playful touch, while the other is sparkly, festive, and full of holiday cheer. It’s a great way to see how classic colors can shine in fresh, modern designs.

Card #1 – Tree on a Car?

This first card is clean, simple, and classic – but with a playful twist! I layered the large tree stamp and perched it on top of a smaller red car. Instead of tying the tree to the car, I added a fun modern-style bow.

You may notice that I chose a gorgeous Poppy red cardstock (it’s one of my favourites), to me this color feels more modern than a traditional deeper red.

Card #2 – Sparkly Tree Hillside

This card is all about festive fun! I created snowy hillsides and added multiple layered trees, giving a sense of depth and a cozy winter scene. One of the trees is decorated with red bows in a modern, ‘magazine-style’ look.

Even though I stuck with traditional Christmas colors, the clean lines, subtle layering, and touch of sparkle keep the design feeling fresh and contemporary.

These layered tree cards were so much fun to make, and they’re a great way to see how traditional Christmas colors can work in modern card designs. I’d love to hear from you – which card would you try first: the playful tree-on-a-car or the festive snowy hillside?
