40!

Okay so the computer crisis is officially over & I’m sad to say that after 5 years my trusty laptop has gone to a better place!  Of course this has made room for my new Rolls Royce, sporting lots of fancy abilities (that I will barely use) except for it’s best feature a  lovely 23″ screen…  I’m in heaven!  It’s never just one thing though is it, would you believe that in the middle of all this my little computer burped and needed a quick trip for a ‘patch’ and my husband finally decides to take the plunge and invest in a laptop for himself – it has been just a little hectic (and expensive) around here, but that’s what work is for & I seem to be there a lot at the moment.   Anyhoo maybe I should talk about cards now…

This is for a friend who is not sooo happy about turning 40…   so here’s hoping  she has a wonderful birthday & forgets about the number!   She is probably feeling very lucky right now as she is currently on holidays in Japan & survived the recent devastation & hopefully will get back home to Oz asap.  There are really no words to express the horror that is unfolding there, it is just heartbreaking.  I thought I would make her a card using the current challenge from Jay Gee’s Nook.   This would have to be one of my favourite colour combos, although I used more pink than I planned on (sorry about the dark photo).     ps. have you found the ‘micro‘ glue dots… they are new to me & just the best thing ever!

  1. Wow, this is such a fun, cheerful birthday card Therese. I love those big numbers and I am sure your friend will love this card too. I hope you are enjoying your new computer – the big screen is heaven isn’t it! Thanks for joining us at Jay Gee’s again 🙂
