Monochrome Thanks

I have made this card in approximately 10 minutes which would have to be a ‘world‘ record for me!  I desperately wanted to join the Less Is More Challenge this week as I suffer with ink phobia (I’m a real Gemini… not fond of getting my hands dirty) and I wanted to push those boundaries a little wider (plus I’m a sucker for one layer cards).  I have always loved the ‘spritzy shimmery’ look and I have bought these fun little items but never used them.  So today was my first Glimmer Mist trial and I love it!   I just want to know, do you ever really get to control the spray?  Because it was definitely in control today and so I worked around it!

Thanks - Detail
Thanks

  1. Gorgeous porgeous Therese….love the pink pop! The GM spray…controlling it??… huh!…. let me know if you find out how….wild stuff it is, total mind of its own 😉

  2. The website seems to be playing up as I can’t see any cards here atm!…however I did see a glimpse earlier via my email and the card looked super, loving the pink, excellent card Therese:O) Viv xx

  3. I’ve never used one of those sprays myself, so I can’t give you advice, but I can give you kudo’s for a lovely card!!

  4. Haven’t tried Glimmer Mist yet but may have to now. This is gorgeous and the Paper Smooches sentiment goes perfectly with those flowers. 🙂

  5. Lovely Therese! Did consider glimmer mists myself but then ended up doing something else! 🙂 Great control on the sprays too! LOVE those little pearls! 🙂

  6. Hee hee! No, you can’t control the mist (or at least not any way I know of besides masking)! I love the color. [BTW, don’t try misting in red….it just looks creepy :)] I love the misting. I love the design. WOW!

  7. Ugh, I just got a mental picture of misting in red…ewwww~! I haven’t found a way to control it yet, but it works nicely if you spray a piece that you’ll use for paper-piecing 🙂 Love how you worked with it, it makes a great backsplash of colour here. I don’t typically like getting messy either, (not counting piles of clutter…) so when I use GM I get a newspaper & do it in another room 😉

  8. Hey I’m a gemini too so that explains my dislike of anything messy too!
Love the spritzed pink, great backgroung for the flowers 🙂
