Hiya I’m back with a quick share. This is a card that I made for the Camera Craze Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and I combined it with the new fun Cool Shades Sparks Challenge with Paper Smooches, what a gorgeous combo, it feels real retro to me!
But first I’ve got a quick video that I want to share with you on how I have decided to store my dies.
Hope you are all finding some crafty time, I’m ‘stuck at home’ and it’s hasn’t stopped raining for 2 days and the forecast doesn’t look any better…. I’d say that it’s perfect crafting weather. Hugs

Love the look of the die storage – I have lots of mine on magnetic pieces stuck inside old CD cases with the insides ripped out – if that makes sense. I’m waiting on the arrival of the Art Bin Die Storage Case from SBB too with the magnetic sheets for my latest dies to go in – they’re hanging in packets on my peg board currently and I’m running out of hanging space!! The bulk of my ribbon is stored on a Simply Renee Clip It Up Ribbon Organiser – rolls at the top, packets hanging by clips below – it’s a great system. Scraps go in a big glass jar:) Enjoy the rain and the crafty time you lucky duck:) Good luck in the challenges.
Thanks Therese. I store my dies in similar plastic pockets – some zip lock ones too that I got from Office works and Big W. I still use the magnetic strip though. Some of the dies are stored with the corresponding stamp set – so I remember to use both! I did take the dies out of the binder and put them in a tub on my workspace – so they would get used – you know out of sight! I can just flick rather than turn around to my bookcase.
I store my ribbons in a few ways. I have a treadle sewing machine with the long narrow draws – perfect for ribbon rolls. I have most of the rest in Kaisercraft boxes I decorated and have the ribbon holders in side. Then when the bits get too small they go in a glass jar – and I try to remember to use these when I only need a small piece. Maybe I should take some pics.

Those pocket-pages are brilliant – having the extra cuts stored right there? Then you don’t even have to think about where you might have had some left over! As for ribbons…eek. Mine were all just in a big basket, which was terrible for dust & pet hair collecting. Barb gave me a ribbon holder, which all the ribbon goes into loose, and there are holes in the side to pull the ribbon through so you can see what you’ve got. It’s at least clean now 😉
Hmmm… I think I may spend some time redoing my die storage after seeing this! I love the idea of keeping the extra dies cuts together with the dies!
As for the card – so cute! Love the bit of sparkle on the flash!
Therese – this card is brilliant (and sweet!). The use of the camera as the “i” – um, genius! Love it! Just heading off to work, but looking forward to checking out the video later tonight 🙂

Fabulous die storage system Therese. I love seeing how people store their supplies….you have given me some food for thought! With regards to my ribbon storage – well I don’t have a system yet – but that is on my to-do list. Let me know when you find a good solution for your ribbons! AND such a happy card as well.

Hi Therese ~ I like how you store your dies, especially how you use the pouches for the smaller ones. I recently bought the Art Bin Die Storage Case and it’s working out well, but I enjoy seeing what works for others, as well.

And I loved watching your video … it’s always so fun to hear what our blogging friends sound like after reading their words for so long : ) Having the pocket above the die empty so you can store the unused die cuts is such a great idea! I will need to think about that (right now, they’re all on magnetic sheets, except the alphas and the larger ones). I have ziplocs for all the unused die cuts, which is a pain to sort through!
