I made this card for the Chevron Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, this is the first time I’ve ever tried this technique and I adore the softness of the chalks with the Versamark stamped image, I reckon I’ll be doing it again. Hope you are having a crafty day!

Gorgeous ..love the colors!
Oh this is fab! Love the soft colors and the chevrons!
This came out beautiful! The soft colors look amazing. Thanks for reminding me to use chalks!
Wow Therese! This is gorgeous! The colors are so soft and pretty. Love it!
Beautiful, Therese – love the chalk background 🙂
Love that beautiful soft background! Did you emboss and then chalk over it?
Hi Jen,
Sorry for the late reply we just got back from a weekend away (and now for holidays yippeee)!
All I did was stamp with versamark directly onto the chalked background. You can also apply chalk overtop of the versamark ink…. I’m going to do this next lol. so little time so many ideas!
Hugs

beautiful rainbow chalking. I have to try chalk.
I love the soft spring colors Therese!
I love that you chose soft pastels for this card, Therese! The butterflies are just perfect, too! Such a pretty card!
Beautiful. Good luck with the challenge. TFS.
Love the softness of the chalk. Can’t believe you just made this card – my daughter is cleaning out her room and just gave me some chalky things (she always asks if I can use something before she just pitches it). Have to look up the translation to see exactly what they are but I must give them a try. Did you spray the card with hairspray or something when finished?
Wow! The chalks create a gorgeous and soft look to your card. This girl loves some chevrons too!
absolutely amazing!! I am not looking too hard, wish list is like a roll of toilet paper at the moment-lol!! always an inspiration! 🙂
Beautiful!! The simple wood butterflies are the perfect accent.
LOVE IT!!! The rainbow effect, softened…what’s not to love? And the layered butterflies are brilliant!
I love chevrons and butterflies! The perfect combination!
gorgeous color…lovely card.
Such a cool technique Therese. Does the chalk rub off or do you set it with something? Love the butterflies.
I thought about ‘setting’ the chalk with my matt finishing spray but in the end I didn’t. So far so good lol.
This is AWESOME! I’ve totally forgotten about my chalks, but I’m pretty sure they were a staple 10 years ago! I need to find mine. This had to have been one of the first techniques I learned, at at DOTS party I think (do you remember that company … Dozens of Terrific Stamps … before they were Close to My Heart?) You’ve achieved such a great look here. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Thanks for reminding me about using chalks… they work so well with Versamark don’t they :0) Beautifully soft colours and I love how they merge together :0)

So pretty! I LOVE that stamp and how you did the background! I have those wooden butterflies and I need to use them – you’ve inspired me!!
This is a really nice effect, Therese. The soft colours really show the stamped background to full effect.
Beautiful!
