I never really did get into the ‘feather’ phase and when the call came from the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine for this as inspiration I initially wrote it off… and while I was waiting for some texture paste to dry, I remembered that I won the Thataway collection from Studio Calico a little while back and it had some die cut feathers, and then I found the stitched thingys and then I just started adding stuff and all of a sudden I’d made a card that I hadn’t intended to do in a style that is very different to my usual, so go figure, I had some fun! Then my texture paste was dry and I was back to the card I had originally started lol.

I suppose it’s good to push those comfort zones a little every now and then. Have a fabulous day!

Outstanding Card! You did great 🙂
A lovely card never the less. And different to your usual style, but isn’t that what inspiration and challenges are for? Great job. Have a fab weekend.
You’ve done ‘discomfort’ like no one can… in a fabulous way, Therese!!! LOve every bit, and every element…

Therese, This card is very different for you; however, it also shows another side of your creativity.
You did the feather craze proud! Very nice card!
Another awesome pub and love the story of how it came together – cool!
Love how you changed your mind about them, Therese! This card came out absolutely stunning!
It is different but its still very you…does that make sense?? I didn’t get on the feathers bandwagon either but loved seeing everyone else’s designs with them incorporated. Fantastic idea having them falling into this see-thru pocket and the orange really pops against the darker background papers. Very cool!
Looks like you pushed your comfort zones with pazazz, Therese … that vibrant feather filled pocket (or stitched thingy!) is fabulous against the grey DP! Anita 🙂
This card sure is different than your usual style, but I love it! Awesome color combo, too!
So fun when a card just happens! Those feathers are super fun!
A fun card…and it’s good to step out of your comfort style every now and again. You should do it more often!
