Totally easy and total fun, these new Avery Elle Peonies are so sweet and having the matching dies, it really is a match made in heaven.. that is, when I eventually work it out lol. This is my card for this month’s challenge at AEI(heart)U where it’s time to have a non-white card base. I decided to film as I created, basically because I’m on holidays and I can.
You can see my video here or Watch it at Youtube.

And have you seen their new release…. Oh my, I do wish the Aussie dollar was a little / a lot stronger.
Other Supplies: Cardstock – American Crafts – Smoke / Leaf / Taffy / Peony / Key Lime. Bazzill – Turquoise Mist.
Beautiful card, Therese! I love that you chose 2 shades of pink for the blooms and how pretty they look embossed in white!
Yes, I’ve seen the new release…Swoon!
Unique card: the colors, the paper contrast…..excellent.
Love this card, looks like you have convinced me that I need some of their stamps now. So hearing you on the Aussie dollar issue and the sad thing is they say it is going to drop more before it recovers. Boo hoo. Lucky I can just look at your cards and admire from afar for now.
Shame you don’t live a little closer, we could have a mini crop!
I love your card. watching you move around the pieces till you liked them was helpful to me.
I have a question to ask you. i’m looking for a cardstock to match my YG41 copic marker. I was wondering if you had a cardstock that just matches the marker? I would be so grateful if you did. you don’t have to send me anything, just tell me the name and company of the cardstock. thanks so much!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. I actually don’t have the YG41 marker so am unable to let you know of a matching cardstock, but American Crafts is the company that I prefer and they have many different green colours. If you just need a small area or a border have you tried just colouring the actual cardstock with the marker itself, I’ve done this many times before and it’s a great way to have the perfect matching colour you can even stamp or emboss on it after you have coloured it). Hope this helps a little, have a great weekend, Hugs Therese
I love the way you do those angled panels 🙂
Just brilliant, Therese!!! I had a little [okay maybe had a whole lot] of fun shopping A.E. yesterday!!!
Love those colours together Therese and the slanty background is fab-U-lous!
totally gorgeous.. awesome embossing..
I just love your card, Therese! The non-white card base ones are my fave…don’t know why I don’t do more because yours are always stunning. This one is absolutely no exception, my friend.
Gorgeous. Love the vibrant colours.
I’ll be waiting for the dollar to recover to 🙁 Just as well there are a few Aussie shops 🙂 but it is a flow on.
Really like the white embossed peonies! A lovely combination! Thanks for joining us at the AEI♥U Challenge!
Gorgeous colour combo here Therese! Love that angled panel over the dark card base – it creates the effect of glimpsing a vase of flowers around the corner of a room! The white embossing on coloured card is stunning!
I love this so much. Those embossed flowers look amazing.
Beautiful, Therese … the white embossing on those vibrant colours is gorgeous! Great to watch how you created that lovely flower arrangement! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Beautiful card! Love to see your designing process! I can go forever like that but I have to stop myself on time because I like the simple look.. Amazing how the green panel on the right totally completes this design. This card also inpired me to do the white embossing lines in stead of black on my latest card, thanks!!!
I totally agree about the conversion rates! When I did the order for my birthday with SSS, I used a conversion table on Google and it changed by $8 (not in my favour) in 30 seconds. Couldn’t believe it! I love that you used coloured cardstock for these flowers and its a great idea for someone like me who doesn’t have Copics. I’m trying to find more ways of using my stamps without colouring them and this is perfect. Thank you so much for the inspiration!!!!
Oh JUST AMAZING!!!!!
Stunning card!
