Video : I need more masculine cards!

Why is it that as my girly stash of cards grows every day and the masculine one dwindles…    couldn’t we just give the girly cards to the guys, we all know they hardly even look at them (except for our other halves of course who know just how much money – maybe…  we spend and wouldn’t dare not to have just one ooh or aaah when they open their card) lol!

Today I made one for the stash, it’s for Scrapbook Boutique and using some fab Mama Elephant products, I filmed as I created so that you could watch the process.

You can see my video here or Watch it at Youtube.

  1. Stencils are fabulous for masculine cards as well as those more prolific girly cards! The stencil you used here is perfect for that cute little guy! I’ve been stencilling lately too – it makes such fun backgrounds:) Great card!

  2. Love your card, thanks for the idea of using Distress Ink to colour the texture paste. I’ll try that out today.

  3. Great card..love it..
well my stash needs some more masculine too..
so true what you say about men receiving cards..have three around here …and they react the same way…

  4. What a cool background, Therese … so deliciously graphic … and fabulous behind that cute little panda! This would get so much more than a quick glance from any guy! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  5. Thanks Therese. Great card and lovely colour combo. Also thanks for your comments on my blog. It makes a difference to me. ☺Love Janelle

  6. This little panda has never been given a more gorgeous stage! Therese, I adore this stencil, and the color you’ve given the embossing paste – terrific taupe – graphically gorgeous!

  7. Wonderful masculine card. I agree with you…Masculine cards work so well when they’re a bit more CAS. Great stenciling. I was mesmerized watching you mix your colors, lol! That texture must look even more amazing in person too. Sweet ME images. Love their inks too. Have a good day. : )

  8. Great job mixing your DI’s to get that fabulous color palette! I see you’re still having fun with your Panda’s, too 🙂 Really fabulous card, Therese!

  9. An adorable card and great for guys! Love all the dimension you created and also that beautiful color for the bg.

  10. Great card, I always enjoy when you use embossing paste, it reminds me of all the ways it can be used. Really great masculine card.

  11. Indeed mascular cards are most of the time not top of mind. I have two sons, five nephews and jus one niece so I can use some inspiration!! I love this one, that stampset is one of my favorites and the texture you added with the paste is so stylish and still mascular!!

  12. I have the same problem with girly vs masculine card quantities. Thanks for sharing this card. Will be pinning it to my masculine cards board. Please make more!

  13. Great manly card Therese – I have a family full of boys, but I do love making girly cards instead LOL! The little panda on this card is so sweet xx
