For my card I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit and use a totally fun technique that I love to do but rarely remember which is to colour directly onto design or patterned paper.

  3. Gorgeous coloring and arrangement, Therese! I love the idea of coloring on patterned paper, but forget to do it. I’m hoping to have time today with my Inktense pencils (purchased via your inspiration)!

  4. Oh Therese!! what a gorgeous card!!! I’ve never, ever seen this technique of stamping and coloring on pattern paper but, after seeing your video, I’m totally ready to try it.
My most favorite medium to color my cards is Water Colors but I’ve also love my Prismacolor pencils to color, I do use Gamsol to blend the colors, I’ve not done it with just the pencils.
Your fabulous video just gave me the most awesome idea for making my reminder card for The Flower Challenge #6, which is “Anything Goes”.
Thank you for the chance to win.
    Big Hugs,
    Maria Rodriguez.

  5. Such a gorgeous card, Therese! I love how the woodgrain background peeks through the roses, and your coloring is just beautiful! My favorite coloring medium is Copic markers, but I love my Prismacolor pencils, too! Thanks so much for another great video, and for a chance to win 🙂

  6. Therese, your card is absolutely gorgeous! I wondered what “wood stamp” image you used until I read that you actually coloured right onto DP – it turned out amazing! I don’t colour much, as I find it time consuming and sometimes not to my satisfaction, but when I do I prefer to use my Prismacolor Pencils & gamsol.

  7. Beautiful card! My favorite medium is alcohol markers. I have some copics and all the Spectrum Noir. I love blending, though I am not very good at it. I do like what you do with pencils and will have to try that.

  8. WOW! Super technique and the result is just breathtaking ! What a clever woman you are ! My favorite colouring medium depends on the periods, I can say that lately it was watercolour and the colour pencils. Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.

  9. I love the idea of coloring directly on design paper, I never would have tried that until I watched your video. I just bought the 115 count Prismacolor pencils and they are now my new favorite medium!!

My favorite coloring medium aren’t my copic markers, but now i’ll need some prisma pencils.☺

  14. Stunning! Would never have thought about colouring directly onto patterned paper but will definitely give this a try. Your card reminds me so much of hazy summer days – just beautiful. Lately I have been using coloured pencils to colour my stamped images but my dearest love are the distress markers for all sorts of colour treatments.

  15. beautiful card Therese. I was amazed how well the pencils covered the heavy black lines in the paper. I love my Prismas but need to use them much more than I do.

  16. As usual, your card is stunning! My favourite blue colour too! I have been meaning to try this idea of stamping and colouring on dsp… will have to give it a go! Thanks for sharing.

  18. Love how you coloured on the printed paper with the pencils. I am enjoying zigs most at the moment due to their incredible depth of colour, but I happily move around all colouring mediums depending on the look that I’m after or how I feel.

  19. Beautiful card, and another great video inspiring me to get colouring. I am trying to use my different colouring options but think my current favourite is water colour pencils. 😀

  20. This looks fabulous on the patterned paper!! My favorite medium is watercolor with Distress Inks or watercolor pencils, but I am going to try it with my Altenew inks!!

  27. I like the Zig brush markers(now that I have the right water color paper for them). I try watercoloring some but I’m still a novice at that. Your card is super. Thanks

  28. Beautiful card 🙂 i really enjoyed the video tutorial as well. Thanks for sharing. My favourite coloring medium is zig clean color real brush pens, love doing water coloring with them.

  30. Gorgeous card. Really great idea to stamp onto paper and colour – this could be a way to use some of my “saved” paper 🙂 You really give me so many ideas must find more time to play 🙂

Do I really have to pick a favourite? That’s like asking which kiddo is my favourite – it depends on the day! Lately I’ve been playing with pencils and water based markers and my blender pen.

  31. What a great idea to colour over the patterned paper! Love it. I’m not sure I have a favourite for cards as I haven’t really stepped away from solid stamps much yet. For my colouring books I use markers and gel pens as well as pencils.

  32. Beautiful card! My favorite coloring medium is Copic markers but you have inspired me to try more coloring with pencils. Thank you.

  33. This is gorgeous! I must try this. Favorite coloring medium of late is watercolor, but I’m considering buying a new set of pencils…

  34. Your card is absolutely stunning, Therese! I love the beautiful pop with the blue flower against the woodgrain – superb contrast 🙂 I love my prismacolors to color with – maybe one day I will color like this! TFS! ♥

  40. I have never used patterned papers for stamping and coloring, but now I’m going to rethink some of the paper I was going to give away, as much of it was older or too pastel for my style. Beautiful card!

  41. I have never thought to colour on pattern paper, your roses look so beautiful. The transparent look is stunning. Thsnk you so much for sharing such a beautiful creation.

  42. Lovely! Thanks for the reminder to color on those pattern papers…such a beautiful result. Favorite medium is colored pencil…so versatile!
