Hiya, today I have a fun card to share in my Cards 4 Men series. I love the finished look of this card but I realized one thing today, I’m not real good at waiting for ink to dry…. I know, I know, take a breath and just wait!
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
See you again real soon!
Other Supplies: Inktense pencils – Poppy Red / Mustard / Saddle Brown / Dark Chocolate / Sepia Ink / Neutral Gray / Chinese Ink.
Oh Therese, this doggie is definitely adorable, that smile…..who can resist it? Love the smooshing of the inks, I think this technique would work better for me than trying to do a water color wash.
And yes, yes, waiting for water colors to dry is not something I like to do so I often use my heat gun, I’ve seen several water color artist on Utube doing exactly the same thing so we are not alone.
Awesome masculine card, thank you for sharing the video, it’s always awesome to see your creative process.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
Another great masculine card. Must get my watercolours out again!
Cute image and card Therese
Love the video and the dog is just too cute
This card just makes me smile. It’s so adorable.
Fabulous card Therese. For a wee second, I thought you might put the cute doggie on a action wobbler!
I, too, LOVE TWISTED CITRON!!! It seems to find its way into so many projects! 🙂 Love this adorable design and I must thank you for ‘feeding the creative’ need for ‘Guy Cards’. You amaze me…all of his little toe nails are still intact…if I had fussy-cut that out, he’d be missing half of them! Love your videos (I don’t say it enough)…and love sharing a creative moment with you ‘when you come-a-calling! ♥♥♥
That card is the cutest thing!!! I looked at that and just chuckled– there’s a dog very similar to that named FRANK!!! lol I kid you not!! Anyways Frank lives near me, and I HAVE TO HAVE THAT STAMP SET, AND THE ONE WITH THE “you rock” , too. Tooooo cute!!! Great job capturing that look!
adorable Therese, I am loving your cards for men series.
That dog is just the cutest and he looks wonderful in front of the smooshed background! Fabulous masculine card!
Really cute card! I love how you created your background and how you played with your Inktense pencils…so fun!
Super cute card! I don’t like waiting for things to dry either, especially ink. It kind of puts a kink in the workflow when you can’t keep going immediately.
Love it…the dog is so cute and the background looks fantastic…!!
You make me giggle, Therese. I love to watch (and listen) to you make your darling cards.
He’s so adorable!! Fantastic coloring, Therese. I think it’s healthy to be impatient waiting for paint to dry – it means you’re not a sloth. It just doesn’t help with water coloring! I was surprised to hear that fun foam isn’t cheap in Australia. It’s just pennies here.
Super cute and love the background.
He is so cute!!!! I haven’t seen the video yet but it is on my playlist. Looking forward to check it out toghether with a big latte on my Sunday-morning-you-tube-kickstart!
Cute pup, Therese … and a gorgeous smooshed background … those blues and the Twisted Citron are so fabulous together! I too have a thing about white card stock having to match on my cards … well, more of an obsession really! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Oh just look at those eyes!! Gorgeous smooshy background and love watching you use the inktense… such a pro with them xx
what an awesome guy card Therese. I love your background and coloring.
Awesome background – perfect for that happy doggie!
