Video : Altenew Stamp / Die / Storage Pouch Release Blog Hop & Giveaway!

It’s time for another fabulous release from Altenew and we are hopping along to celebrate, so you should have arrived here from MAY’S fantabulous blog!

I made a total of three cards today, so scroll down to see them and the video that I have made showcasing the fab new Striped Leaf Cover Die as well as to find out how you can WIN!

To begin I want to share a masculine design, I created my very own patterned background using the Building Blocks Stamp.

Altenew - Building Blocks - Speech Bubbles - Space Travel - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

I added some fun images from the Space Travel Stamp Set and the sentiment came from the new Speech Bubbles Stamp Set (I love me a speech bubble sentiment and was so excited to see this in the new release)!

Altenew - Building Blocks - Speech Bubbles - Space Travel - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

I used a total of (count them) 5 stamp sets in the next card…   I think I was having so much fun combining everything I probably forgot to focus lol.  I Zig coloured the flower from the Charmed Stamp Set and I added a partial stamped background with Simple Shapes XL.

Altenew - Charmed - Framed - Thick and Thin Alphas - Simple Shapes XL - Sweet Friend - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

I added a simple frame from the Framed Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Thick and Thin Alpha Set as well as the Sweet Friend Stamp Set.

Altenew - Charmed - Framed - Thick and Thin Alphas - Simple Shapes XL - Sweet Friend - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

My final card was made using the Striped Leaf Cover Die, and I have a video showing you the process of how it came together.

Altenew - Striped Leaf Cover Die - More than Words - You Make me Happy - Lostinpaper (card video) 1 copy

The flower You Make Me Happy is coloured with Altenew’s Artist Markers and the sentiment is from the new set More Than Words, seriously a gorgeous combination of fonts here!

  1. I especially like the “masculine” card. Thank you for the inspiration. It’s always difficult to make a card for the guys in our lives. And as always so fun to watch you create the cards.

  2. Truly at a loss for words, so dazzled by the gorgeous showcases here! The leaves card, in particular, has caught my eye…Thank you for the smiles today!

  20. After yet another wonderful release from Altenew.
I thought the geometrics caught my eye – that was until I saw your flowers and stencils and they are so lovely I’m pulled the other way again, my mind working overtime after your inspiration.

  21. It’s nice to know the rules, but it’s also nice to know that it’s your card and you can switch it up if you want to. And the products are amazing. And…what you did with them is beautiful. Thank you.

  22. Hello Theresa, so glad I came by, if it wasn’t for this blog hop I wouldn’t have made it here, I’m getting to know so many amazing talented women and I’ve learned so much with all the videos I’ve been watching. Thanks so much for sharing your video with us. I loved the technique you used and the colors on the foliage are so shabby, my style totally! I’m enjoying all the new releases from AlteNew, watching all these videos help us to have a better appreciation for some of the products I thought I’d never give a chance, like the simple shapes stamp set for instance. I wouldn’t know what to do with it until all the great videos I’ve been watching. Thank you! 🙂

  23. Your video was so much fun today, and informative, too, as usual. The background dies and die sets in this release are so wonderful. I love seeing different ways to use them throughout the blog hop. It demonstrates their versatility and value. Of course, the creativity shared by everyone is priceless. Thanks so much.

  24. I’ve been away for so long, but I wanted to stop by your blog and see what you’ve been creating! The astronaut card is a perfect masculine card! What a fun idea! And I know a few ‘space cadets’ that would love seeing this, too. Your second card is stunning. Maybe it’s the yellows that have made me fall in love with this. Maybe it’s the flowers. Maybe it’s the triangle background. Or the frame…. No matter the reason, I adore this card. Pretty sure I could stare at it all day long!! And thanks for the video for your last card. Those leaves are wonderful!! That coverplate might have to go into my shopping basket, lol!! Have a great weekend! : )

  25. I really enjoy your videos, and that card turned out amazing. I love the idea of making the die into a stencil. Great job.

  26. Wonderful cards, Therese! Thank you for sharing how you made the leaf one and for introducing me to sticky-backed stencils and ways to make your own.

  27. All three of your cards are so fun! I love the background you created on your first card. The second and third cards are both so sweet! I especially love the new frame stamp on the second card!

  28. I already had the Striped Leaf Cover die on my wish list, and after seeing your ideas, I’m adding the Simple Shapes stamp set. Pay day can’t get here soon enough! Thanks for the inspiration!

  29. honestly, i thought of the building blocks stamp st as boring before i came to your blog…. and now I am convinced that it’s amazingly versatile!
I am in love with the leaf cover die from this collection 😀

  30. Just love what you did with both the leaf and lace cover plate designs! The Altenew creative team always comes up with such unique creations for a release and this is no exception! I trust the quality of Altenew products and have confidence when ordering from Altenew that I am getting the best!

  31. Your cards are fantastic! I especially love the building blocks background – so great for my boys and any masculine card. Thanks!

  32. Love all of your card Therese! Your striped leaf card is so beautiful, the different coloured pastes look so pretty together and I love the sentiment you used. I will defiantly be buying the “More Than Words’ new stamp set, it is full of such lovely sentiments and the script is gorgeous. Thanks for your video tutorial, I always really enjoy your tutorials.

  33. I love your leaf and lace cover plate designs! Gorgeous colors! The color blocking with the astronaut is a great background.

  34. The leaves stencil card is awesome ! I love also the geometrical card. The colors are so elegant. And of course the flower card is really sweet.

  35. Thank you for sharing your lovely cards, Therese. There’s something about the second card that makes my heart happy. You’re an inspiration.

  36. What an amazing set of cards! The masculine card is such a great idea that I never think about until I need one (even though I have many males in the family). I am just loving the frame you used in the second card — the black and white background really makes the flowers pop! Thanks for the inspiration!

  37. Your cards are wonderful and I especially love the one with the die cut leaves – thanks so much for your fantastic video too!

  38. This is my first time visiting. I loved the use of the paste and how you made your own stencil. The die cut leaves card was my favorite. I especially loved your color choices. Thank you for sharing.

  39. Fun cards! I especially like the leaf die as well. I’ve just begun to use dies to make a stencil and it’s so much fun!!! Thanks for the tips on doing that. I also like the frame stamp! Thanks, Therese!

  40. Wow! These are all fabulous! My favorite is the one you said you used 5 stamp sets on, I can see why it would have been so fun and why you made it that way LOVE IT!!! Was it one used in their preview pictures? I fell in love with that charmed flower that instant…..then the frame and background you made are stunning!!! Thank You!!

  41. I loved your stencil technique with the striped Leaf cover die. I’m so glad that I have already ordered it before Altenew ran out 😍

  42. Awesome use of the leaf cover die, thank you so much for the inspiration! I’m dying to get it, & try the embossing paste. So many used for this die! Thank you!

  43. Dude – you are not helping me with the shopping ban!! I love the background you created on the space card and the texture on the third card and I love EVERYTHING about the second card!

  44. That masculine card is just fabulous!! Love the colours and that awesome patterned background you created. Your second card is absolutely gorgeous!! Again, a great background was created and the flowers are coloured so beautifully. The frame stamp just seems to ground the card and bring it all together. Love love love it!!
