Scrapbook Boutique have the new Distress Oxide colours in stock and seriously I ‘held out’ for as long as I could, but they are my fave distress ink colours and I ‘needed’ them. So today I decided to play!
I created a video showing how this card came together,
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
I’ve linked all of the products that I used below or you can head here to Scrapbook Boutique. Thanks so much for visiting today, hope you are finding some crafty time, Hugs,

Nice card, lovely coloring!
This is so adorable, Therese. I love the idea of restamping although I tried it once and somehow my painted card wasn’t in the right place. Arrrgh! Do you notice that the Zig colors lighten up on the card? I have a couple that have done that and it looked like the dog’s black ear was lighter.
Hi Bobby, I have ‘mis-restamped’ once on a very complicated image once and luckily the camera was on mute lol. And yes, the paints do dry a little lighter than when they first go down, but so do Copics etc. Sometimes I add a second layer after it dries or just use a brighter colour initially. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments, Crafty Hugs, Therese
There is a whole party on the front of your card! Fantastic card.
This is a very happy card, and you are so right….excellent for a child….or someone young in heart. That is the best use of Altenew ‘splotches’ I’ve ever seen!!!
Whole bunch of fun. Lovely card.
Bright, full of happy energy and so much fun, Therese … that birthday bus is just adorable! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Such an adorable bunch of critters on their way to a party! Super fun card!
Super fun card! I really enjoy watching you create! Thanks for sharing.
This is a super fun card. Are you finding any difference in stamping quality with the oxides? I recently went to Paperific here in Melbourne and some comments were they didn’t stamp well but blended beautifully. I still picked up one or two! Might need to get some brighter colours – liking the pink.
I am loving the way that they stamp (especially compared with the Distress inks), and have even been using them on my sentiments with great results, and they seem to dry much quicker than normal pigment inks (which I tend to avoid for that very reason, I just don’t have enough time to wait for ink to dry, that’s why I struggle with watercolouring lol). Hope you are having a great weekend, Crafty hugs Therese
Thanks heaps. I don’t like waiting for things to dry either! 🙂
This is adorable! Such a fun and colourful party bus! I’m loving the Oxides as well….my new favourite inks.
Love the bright coloured splats behind the bus, I’m enjoying the new oxides as well 🙂 x
Now that looks like a party I’d like to join! Love the bright happy colours!!
