This month Altenew is introducing Build-A-Flower: Rose. This is a 6×8 stamp set with coordinating dies so you can easily create your projects (it is only available as a set, not as individual products). Isn’t this Rose beautiful!
I kept the sentiment simple, I was kinda thinking ‘wedding’ so I used the You Make me Happy stamp set (it’s small but totally packs a punch).
For this sentiment I grabbed the Bamboo Rose stamp set, the scripty font was calling me….
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
Isn’t this Build-A-Flower: Rose the most beautiful stamp layering set, Altenew really knows how to ‘flower’! I also know that you will also be inspired by the other designs, as well as the chance to WIN at the Altenew Blog!

Hello Therese: I wanted to thank you for visiting my blog, it’s always a thrill to find your comments there. The Purple Onion Design stamps are just about the sweetest, love all the little critters and I also love the fact that you can build up little whimsical scenes with all the individual images. As a matter of fact, it was YOU who reminded me of the fact I haven’t inked up my small stash of POD stamps, when I saw THIS CARD you made on Pinterest when I was searching for a baby card. I just want to thank you for all the inspiration and tips you share on your blog, I absolutely love every single thing you do and I adore listening and watching you create. I can’t wait to see your card for THE FLOWER CHALLENGE as our Guest Designer for our 1st. Anniversary, I can’t believe how time just flew by, I still can’t believe Aileen and Vivien asked me to join this group of very talented and amazing card makers. Thank you again for your sweet comments, they always make my day. Big Hugs from across the miles. Maria.
Wow your card is Stunning! Very elegant in the gray tones! Love your videos as well Therese. TFS!

Be still my heart, gorgeous greys.
Never thought grey roses would look soooo beautiful….love your cards Therese..!!
Hi Therese, I love how you did your rose the colour is beautiful and your card is stunning, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Wow!!! Amazing!!
Ahhh Therese what a stunning card, this rose reminds me of when I was learning to paint roses. Looks sensational in grey, amazing card. What a shame Altenew are making people purchase the dies too at $45:00 for the set its too rich for me I think I will just have to drool from the side lines. Lucky I have so many of their other stamps. Keep inspiring me mf.
Hi Aileen, I agree this is a beautiful rose and works perfectly with the other roses in the Altenew collection. This particular stamp set actually includes the dies so they don’t have to be purchased separately, which is perfect! thanks so much for stopping by my friend x
Great video. The flower looks so elegant in grey shades.
The cards are gorgeous. And thanks for the wonderful video.
What beautiful cards, so elegant. Thanks for another great video
Two lovely cards, love your tips and creative use of colours.

The depth of colour you’ve managed to create with your grey inks and that beautiful rose stamp is amazing! You do make it look so simple, but I love watching how you calmly go about building the flower – so generous in your tip sharing and techniques – love your videos!
Stunning! The gray is something I would not have thought of, but I am blown away by how amazing it looks. Thank you.
Wow, Therese, these cards are so elegant. I just love the grey tones. You always add the right touches to make any card a “WOW” card. Thanks for the inspiration.
Amazing detail in that rose image! I love your choice of color that gives it an elegant look, and I love the shadow leaves behind the rose as well.
Both cards are lovely! You always take the designs a step further, such as the fussy cutting. Thanks for the ideas! 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous!!

Just so lovely..thank you.
These look amazing in grey, Therese! So elegant!
Stunning in gray!
Love this stamp but having a horrible time with the 2nd section particulary the two pieces that have no guide line to follow. Any advice or a close up of how to do it?
Hi Barbara, I am finding it much easier to use my MISTI for these layering designs, if you have a stamp positioning tool I would suggest to use this. Even a Stampamajig would work great! The other thing I do is check out the layering guide at the shop, sometimes it’s easier to download this one as you can make the picture ‘bigger’ on your computer and then you can see where the pieces need to go. It is a bit unusual that these particular pieces are not marked like the others. Altenew is very helpful, i would also suggest to write to them and maybe they could add the guides (to help all of us), and let them know of the problems that you are having with the layers, it really is such a beautiful set I am sure they don’t want you to be disappointed with it. Hope this helps, Crafty hugs, Therese
Hi Therese, Thank you for your reply. I am using my misti, have the layering guide but I still have trouble with the last two pieces. I did write a note to Altenew for a more detailed and hopefully large photo. I hope they will respond. I have noticed that many people have left off that center piece. Its such a beautiful stamp that I cant let this go 🙂
I hope they get back to you real soon! Did you enlarge the layering guide on your computer, I found that if I looked closely at the images then I could visualise where the last two stamps needed to go, I hope this makes sense… my other trick that I sometimes do (and don’t tell anyone this) is that if there is a ‘little’ gap in the stamping I come in with a pencil that is the same colour and fill in the ‘gap’ wink. Hope you get it sorted soon because I agree it’s a stunner!
