Video : Altenew Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia & Giveaway!

You could say that this Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia from Altenew is ‘Built-4-Christmas’, but it’s also built for so many other wonderful occasions, it’s amazing and I had so much fun colouring with Altenew’s Artist Markers today that I just had to share a video.

Altenew - BAF - Poinsettia - Layered Plaid Cover Die - Lostinpaper (card video) 1 copy

My background is the Layered Plaid Cover Die B using both the Light and Dark Gray Cardstock and the sentiment Pure White heat embossed (have I told you how much I like this particular embossing powder…  it’s white white)!

  9. I absolutely LOVE poinsettia cards and yours is great. I really like the way you did your background with the layered plaid covered die – really neat I wouldn’t have thought of that – been watching you for some time love your accent. I’m from TX your accent is so neat to listen to. GREAT card thanks for the opportunity for the gift certificates.

  11. Great use of the plaid background die to make a CAS card that has a very masculine feel, even using the lovely poinsettia flower!

  14. Beautiful done. Genius to use same flower for leaves. I always look forward to your inspirations and videos. Thanks a ton.

  15. Hi Terese – I loved the video! I recently purchased the markers andI loved watching you color in the petals using the 3 red markers and how they worked together to give a soft, velvet look. Thank you!!

  16. Hi Therese, not sure my first comment posted. I have followed you for a long time. We have chatted a couple times on techniques and where to buy some items in Colorado. You have taught me so much about coloring. You truly are my favorite card artist! Every card puts a smile on my face. I have a chronic pain disease so I need those pick me-ups! Keep them coming! Are you still working in the nursing field too?

    1. Hi Nancy, yes I am a nurse, I work full time shift work (and the remainder of my life is spent making cards, with just a little bit of time in there for my husband and cats too lol.). Thanks so much for your lovely comments, you have truly made my day! Big crafty hugs, Therese ps the first message did come through

  17. Absolutely stunning card, Therese! Your coloring skills, no matter the medium, are amazing. Watching your videos is just so enjoyable!
