Video : Valentine Penguins – Copics v’s Prismacolor!

I am so excited to be at the Gerda Steiner blog again today and I have two videos to share.  I am focusing on the new Valentine Penguins Stamp Set and thought it would be fun to change up my card design using two different mediums.

I started with the more clean & simple Copic Marker version

  1. Oh!!! these little penguins are utterly adorable!! I love how you colored them with the Prismacolors, I really love how the colors blend so beautifully with or without the Gamsol.
I don’t use Copics on my cards but I do love to see you coloring with them, always fabulous.
And you are right, Gerda Stainer has some of the sweetest, cutest little critters around.
Thank you so much for sharing this two videos.
    Hugs.
    Maria Rodriguez.

  2. Great masking Therese. Those penguins are so cute. Thanks for showing us the difference with the 2 mediums.I always enjoy watching you colour – you make it look so easy. Looking forward to seeing lots more of your creativeness this year.

  3. Adorable! Your skills with both Copics and pencils is amazing. You manage to make it look so easy, and you can bet that my attempts are slightly better from watching your videos! Love that little balloon, too! Have a quiet weekend.

  4. So adorable! I definitely need to see if my local scrapbook store still has this cute stamp set! Love both the cards, by the way.

  5. Even if both of your cards are absolutely beautiful, this is very interesting to put these two different medium in mirror.

  6. That was so much fun! Thanks for showing your coloring in both mediums. I really love them both! Yes, I struggle with copic balloon coloring too. I love how you linked the string from the hearts over to the last penguin’s balloon string. The confetti is so clever, and I love the idea of coloring on the colored cardstock.

    1. Hi Debbie, I usually just use whatever cardstock that I make the card base from as I like all my whites ‘to match’. At the moment the Neenah is winning, I am using either the 110lb or the 80lb. Hope this is helpful, Crafty hugs, Therese
