Altenew Build-A-Flower Blog Hop & Giveaway!

These Build-A-Flower stamp sets from Altenew have fast become some of my favourites and to celebrate the Build-A-Flower Collection we are hopping along and  you should have arrived here from the KRISTINA’s incredible blog!

To celebrate today I decided to use what I would say is one of the most beautiful roses that Altenew has released!

The Build-A-Flower : Rose has a few ‘extra’ layers but they are soooo worth it.  One of my best tips is if you have a stamp positioner then why not stamp a few extras at a time, they are a gorgeous flower to have in your stash.

Altenew - BAF Rose - Thinking of You - Create a Wreath - Therese (card) 1 copy

I painted my own striped background and simple popped up a oval die cut from the Create a Wreath die set and my sentiment is a Navy Cardstock Thinking of You die, very simple.

  1. Therese, I agree that of all the rose stamps this Build A Flower- Rose from Altenew is the best and gives the most beautiful result. I love your card design, so fresh and classic! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Beautiful coloring! The Rose is looking like a must have for me. The striped background is wonderful behind that perfect rose. Love this card!

  3. Wonderful. I really like the composition with the wide stripes in the background. I especially like that they are softer and looser and not “perfect”! Thank you.

  4. Such a beautiful card. I also love the navy stripes. Its hard to choose which stamp is my favorite. They are all so adorable.

  5. The rose is one of my favorites from this collection of build-a-flower designs. You really can’t have just one favorite from all these great flowers. I love your
beautifully designed card and thank you for the inspiration! 🙂

  6. Love the color combination for that beautiful rose! It looks so real and the pink really stands out with the navy… awesome!

  7. Love the colors you used in the background on your card. I will have to try and do this on some of my cards I make. You did a great job on the flowers too. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week.

  8. The painted background is the perfect touch. I love the colors and depth of this card. It looks so complicated, but your explanation makes it clear that it’s simple enough even for a beginner. I love it!

  9. I always stamp up a few extras while I’m at it too! Just in case one gets messed up.
I love the colours you used for your card, such stunning contrasts and I agree, that rose is amazing!

  10. Gorgeous card! I love the detail of the beautiful rose, and the awesome ‘thinking of you’ die you used! Pretty background with the stripes!

  11. I have this set too and i live it. Took me a few tdies to learn that step 6 stamp. I kept getting it crooked. But its beautiful and so dimensional. I love ur card, classy n gorgeous.

  12. Thanks for sharing your beautiful artistry! So fun to see the many ways these Altenew sets can be used to create amazing cards!

  13. I love the stripes behind the roses. The watercolor look is the perfect offset to the detail of the flower. I have to remember that for the next time I do a floral. Thank you for sharing and participating in this bloghop!

  14. Love the design of your card. After seeing these Build A Flower stamp sets, I can see why they are your favorite. Hoping to get one soon.

  15. oooh Therese! you are getting a bit grungy with that cool background. Your rose is to say the least stunning. Beautifully coloured and finishing with that BIG BOLD sentiment and oval die… WOW!

  16. A lovely card! I think the rose is my favorite from the build-a-flower set and your coloring is so pretty. Love the striped background you painted — a great color combo!

  17. When I saw your name in the blog hop line-up, I thought Therese ALWAYS has a video!! I kept going up and down your post thinking I missed it! I will have to keep an eye out for later this week. Consider yourself scolded!! (Kidding of course)

  18. This build a flower collection is a must have! My favorite is the Rose stamp 🌹. So gorgeous and looks so real to me. I like this navy and pink combination a lot! I would love to make my daughter’s first birthday party invitations.

  20. Your card is AMAZING. The colors, navy and the pink just pop. It’s so crisp and elegant. I so love seeing flowers right now. Just 21 days until spring and it can’t come too soon for me! I can’t wait to try making my own washed background. I’m inspired.

  21. As if the rose isn’t beautiful on its own….. I adore those stripes behind it. I would love a beach tote with this on it. Nicely done.

  22. I have always been into flowers in a big way on all my cards. I love making 3D flowers for my cards and trying to get them as realistic as possible. These Build-a-Flower stamp and die sets are amazing for detail and make it easy to create stunning flowers. I already own two sets and look forward to adding to my collection. Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration!

  23. The extra detail on the rose does add a lot, I’m impressed as usual. I also want to play with the striped background you did, very effective with he navy sentiment.

  24. What a striking combination. The simplicity of the striped blue background as a backdrop to the elegant flower is perfect!

  25. Oh my gosh, the way you colored your rose is so amazing! I love how you put that white part which is where you didn’t color it in the front. Some of it is a light pink and some is a darker pink. I am so in love with you’re coloring! I like the background too. This is such a pretty card!
