Video : A MISTI Tip for a Hidden Sentiment – Altenew!

I am at Altenew today and I have a tip with the MISTI sharing an easy way to create a ‘Hidden Sentiment’.  I ‘needed’ a birthday card for my husband and though he is not one to celebrate, I thought that I couldn’t let this one go by without a little recognition.
I started by stamping my own graphic background using some squares from the Simple Shapes XL and Building Blocks Stamp Sets.

I die cut the sentiment with the Caps Bold Alpha letters which I think are perfect for a masculine design (or female designs too lol).  As a final touch I added a Speech Bubbles sentiment.

I did have some fun pulling this one together and I have a video to show you just how that happened.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

I’ve linked all of the products that I used below or you can head to Altenew and find them there.  Have a great and hopefully crafty day, Hugs

  1. Loved your video and always happy to get help and ideas for masculine cards. I recently purchased the bold alphabet dies and the bold numbers dies and they are wonderful. Love how you used them. Note to self. LOL Have a wonderful day and thanks for the post and video.

  2. Love this and the video tutorial; I am so inspired by Altenew products at the moment. :O)

  3. Such a great card! I’m going to need some 5-0 cards this year and this is so versatile. Change the colours for a feminine card or use circles! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and happy birthday to your husband!

  4. Cool and graphic and oh so stylish, Therese … the geometric shapes are perfect with those bold alphas … and those colours are so gorgeous! Happy Birthday to your DH … momentous occasion! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  5. Wow! I love this card and you are so clever for adding that bit of dark gray cardstock behind the bottom of each word, I would have never thought of that and it makes all the difference in the world. I am going to try this technique soon! TFS

  6. I am so gonna try this with my MISTI…amazing card…pls. pass on my birthday wishes to your hubby…I’m sure he loved your awesome card..!! 🙂

  7. An absolutely fabulous male card Therese. Super colour choice and genies with the strips of grey. Love those big letters and the little cut out sentiment.

  8. Cool card 🙂 And thanks for the die cutting tip. I’ve just bought a Gemini machine and I find the dies can shift, even when taped down. I’ll give that trick a try next time!
