Video : Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 3 + Giveaway!

I am so happy to invite you to celebrate Altenew’s 4th Anniversary hop with us and the celebrations are continuing!  We are hopping along and you should have arrived here from the talented TaeEun’s fabulous blog!

I decided I had to have some flowers in my project today and chose the BAF Peony Blossom dies to make a dimensional (difficult to post lol) version.

Seriously loving the Doodled Dots in the background.

and the sentiment is from the Hope Stamp and matching die sets.

  1. Your card is so beautiful Therese. I love your style as it clean and contemporary. (I’m really not in to fussy). I have both die sets so I’ll be having a go a producing something similar myself. Thank you so much for your amazing videos. I could watch them all day (and never get anything else done!). My poor little cat comes to drag me out of my craft room when I’ve been missing too long and if I don’t follow her immediately she sits on my knee so that I’m forced to stop what I’m doing. Wonder if my husband’s trained her?

  2. What a gorgeous card, I love the dots in the background. Thanks for all your inspirational videos, I love them.

  3. Stunning card, love the dimension. I watch your videos every time I’m alerted to a new one and you always do such lovely work. You inspire me!

  4. Wow! Sweet card! Love the soft colors of the grey and yellow along with the background die used to give even more pop.

  5. Such a gorgeous card, Therese! You make CAS designs so elegant and I love your color palette! Thanks so much for a chance to win!

  6. Loved watching your video tutorial on making this card, and all of your tutorials. Your card designs are always so beautiful and within the reach of us to replicate! Happy Anniversary, Altenew.

  7. I find myself really drawn to cards with just a couple of colors. All the texture you’ve used is just beautiful. Such an elegant card! Happy Anniversary, Altenew!

  12. Gorgeous card, so beautifully executed! Fantastic color combo and I love the subtle movement from the cover die.

  13. I love this card! It is so beautiful. The background stamp gets my imagination going because it can be used in so many ways. Thank you for such a great video!

  14. First, thank you for the great video….I love how soft your card looks….you always produce great looking cards….thank you so much….

  15. I cannot tell you how much I love your work! Your videos are so well-done and beautifully instructional. It’s always a huge treat to see a new one.

  16. Your card is beautiful ! Your flowers look nearly exactly like the frangipani tree’s flowers. They are my favorites and their perfume is so delicate…..

  17. I love how you turned a peony die into beautiful plumeria! So pretty. And thanks for the tip on using the template to line up the dies Great idea. Thanks for sharing!

  18. Such a beautiful card. And peonies are my favorite flower. Thanks for the tip on how to cut your images with solid dies. Genius!

  19. I love that triangle background. Just the little bit of yellow really made the flowers stand out. I have been thinking about getting some finger daubers. I better get them now if they are going to be discontinued.

  20. Love the simplicity of this card,so quick and easy. Also like Altenew stamps and dies I am builing up a nice collection , so good to see your videos on them to get some great ideas. Thanks Terese.

    1. Hi Kathy, I usually try and hand deliver a 3D style card but if I was to post it I usually use a ‘rigid mailer’ which is like a thin post box, it’s perfect for this, I just add a little bubble wrap for extra protection. Hugs Therese

  21. I love that background too. And your flowers are amazing. Great sentiment. Often the sentiment is the most important thing for me!

  22. Therese, your card is a showstopper!! That Doodled Dots background really makes those awesome flowers pop off the card! Thanks for making a video showing us how you made your card…so, so helpful!!

  23. Never would have thought the Doodle Dots die would make such an elegant looking background for your gorgeous flowers. Love the card

  24. Thanx for the inspiration you keep on bring to us, I just love all the floral cards that you make.

  25. WOW! This is just stunning – all of that white and the texture you created with your background and the 3D flowers. Thanks for the inspiration, Therese!

  26. I love this card! So pretty with the hint of yellow in the center. The dot panel behind adds extra interest. I love finger daubers, I hope you are incorrect that they are phasing them out!

  27. Card is simple yet stunning! Love the way you put the flowers together and the background is great!

  28. Sooo pretty! I usually mail my cards. So, the dimensional details usually flatten. It looks so pretty though! I guess giving them in person is the best idea. Never tried a more rigid mailer though.

  29. I really like how the white cutout shows through to the gray background. That is really pretty! Gray is actually one of my favorite “colors”. 😉

  30. Simple but beautiful card. I loved the dotted background. Thanks for your wonderful process video. Happy 4th Anniversary Altenew!

  31. Love the elegant colour combination. Thank you for the die cutting tip. I actually liked the coloured sentiment.

  32. Beautiful card, Teresa. Altnew’s products are so fabulous, I can’t get enough, and their design team inspires me to do more with them.

  33. The Doodled Dots is one of my favorite Altenew dies! Thank you for sharing a brilliant way to make a stunning show of the flowers using it! Gorgeous soft hues of grey, white and yellow!!

  34. Such a lovely card. I hope the finger daubers don’t go away. I have one for every ink I own and keep them with a color chart for each brand. Great tips, thank you for sharing.

  35. I love the soft look of the coloring and the gray background is perfection. About the daubers: I had not heard that rumor, but I just recently learned of a more economical choice. Scrapbooking Made Simple had just started making their own. If you go to their YouTube channel, it’s on video #242 and she starts talking about them at 15:10. Hope that helps. I currently don’t have any, but they are on my list for birthday (or something!) Thanks for your lovely work.

  36. Beautiful card with gorgeous products. Love the colour scheme! Congratulations to my favourite stamp company! I’m so glad I discovered Altenew early on with one of my all-time favourite stamp sets – Vintage Roses. Since then I have been stunned again and again by their beautiful products – especially their layering flowers. Here’s to many more happy years!

  37. Especially like to “dotty” background and the dimension on the beautiful flowers. Very pretty card.

  38. I think this is one of my favourite cards of yours ever! The soft pop of yellow with the neutrals and that background die all add up to one stunning card.

  39. Your card is so pretty. It’s always great to get more uses out of your products and using just the dies is a great option. Thanks for sharing.

  40. I love everything about this card! The colors are gorgeous together and I especially love the dimensional flowers!

  41. Oh how I love hearing that Aussie voice! As always, love your card. Love the colours and especially the pop of yellow. Thanks for the great inspiration!

  42. Thanks for sharing your video…the card is so pretty! I hadn’t heard about the finger sponge daubers possibly going away…I hope that’s not true as I was recently considering buying some!

  43. Awesome peonies, Therese! Lovely 3D card. Happy 4th Altenew! So many great floral layering designs to choose from- my wishlist is really full!😊

  44. That background die is amazing, Therese. And so are the flowers. I love the soft yellow in the centers and the curved petals add so much dimension and reality.

  45. Beautiful dimension. So contemporary! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. Happy 4th Birthday Altenew!

  46. What a sweet card–I love the doodle dots as a background–the card looks playful and elegant at the same time!

  47. Oh how gorgeous, I love how the grey from the background shows through the doodled dots layer. Thanks for sharing!

  48. Therese, your card, as usual, is beautiful! I love everything about it — the colors you chose, the dotted die is to “die” for, and the beautiful peony die, and your design!

  49. Hi Therese, I love the card, and those flower dies are beautiful, I love making my flower it give dimension to a card and make it look more realistic, TFS, Cheers Anna.

  50. Gorgeous card, I never use grey but it shows great! Thank you so muchTherese for 2, 5 year of gorgeous examples with the great Altenew products. Happy Anniversary Altenew!

  51. Love Love Love your card. Love the tone on tone background with the poip of color. Thanks for sharing with us.

  52. Very pretty. Love your touch of yellow you added to the flowers it gives the flowers the perfect dimension

  53. Wow, your card is seriously amazing! I love the soft colors and the pop of yellow along with the dime soon that the flowers add. Thanks for sharing.

  54. Yellow is my favorite color in the whole wide world and you used it on your card! I’d say you’ve made my day but the person before you used a lot of yellow so I will say you have made my minute! LOL I don’t have a die cutter so I can’t even try to replicate your card but I love how those flowers look. I can’t imagine how you would mail that without the flowers getting crushed.
The background is so amazing and I want to try that with my paper punch. Even if I couldn’t do the whole background because a paper punch only goes so far, just doing the sides of the paper and the top would be so cool! I can’t wait to try it!
Thank you for showing us your creative and fun card and for giving us the chance to win something. Happy anniversary Altenew!

  55. What a beautiful card. I love the subtle colors you used to highlight the flowers and the grey you used on the dotted background to tie in the middle of the peonies. You have such a wonderful eye for flowers and how to put them together. Thanks for sharing!

  56. This card is so beautiful, and I think it would be just as lovely without dimension (Post-friendly)! And thank you, thank you for that tip on die cutting the leaves. I never thought of making a template, but now you have given me a way to ease my frustration and get a perfect cut the first time. You rock!

  57. Gorgeous gorgeous card!! Those flowers are amazing with all that dimension. I also really like the background panel. It adds interest without competing with the flowers. I also quite like the white on white with hints of grey and black
