It’s been a while, but I am back with another Penny Black Gimme 5 video and I am so excited, this Christmas release is amazing!
Today I have a set of CAS Christmas cards and I decided it would be fun to create a highlight, you can see the whole process in the video linked below.
Starting with my fave, the Jingle Bells Trio.
and look here, I used some pearls, classic old school and perfect on this Scarlet Majesty stamp.
This Christmas Glow tree looks incredible watercoloured but I think it works well as a background too.
The font in this die cut is so beautiful, this is part of a great die set released last year called Ornamental Branch.
And this fella is Bundled Up and just has to be coloured up this year!
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.
You can also see my video at Penny Black Youtube channel!
I have linked all of the products that I used below, hope you had a fab time! Hugs,

very lovely and elegant christmas cards
Oh Therese these cards are simply beautiful inked up and love how you have added your touches to them. So very different. Totally stunning!
Beautiful, love the clean elegance with just a touch of color!
so clever! I love the subtle grey stamping with just a tiny pop of colour. Raising the centres? How do you think of these great ideas. The cards are fabulous. Love that die too!
These are wonderful!
Ohhh wow Therese these just look amazing, what a fabulous idea. So perfect looking, love them.
The cards are so elegant. Did you use the Lava cardstock for card bases? Is it nice and stiff? Those Sprinkleberries and their stamps are interesting too. Have a great day!
Hi Christine, on these cards I used the 110lb Neenah for the base but I have been using the Lava Stationery cardstock for years and love it too. It is definitely lighter weight but works really well for card bases, it doesn’t warp easily. The things I like about it are it’s a nice bright white, works well with pencils, Copics and stamping. Although if I am doing a full stamped panel I will cut it to the card base size and stick it on top. Hope this makes sense. Did you want me to send you some to try? And SprinkleBerry was previously Annabelle stamps (a wonderful Aussie company), the sprinkles come in so many different colours and sizes, my fave is the liquorice. Crafty hugs, Therese
love these series – so creative Therese…
A very creative idea for a card. I like the whole set, but the tree with the super bright lights is my favorite. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh! These are so gorgeous! I find stamps like these intimidating but your simplified versions are awesome. Love this series you do. Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous Therese! I love the idea of the grey ink and the simple green and red highlights. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
I love the images stamped in grey – I think it makes the embellishments pop even more.
These are so beautiful!!
Wow! So elegant.
Hi Therese
These are absolutely stuuning. It just goes to show how little you need to make an amazing card. Thank you so much for all your inspiration.
Love these and will definitely be trying this, but I need to check if I have that versafine ink or that’s another one for the shopping list.:)

Hi Therese friend. I just love these. Gorgeous.
These are so beautiful!
Absolutely stunning set of cards! So very elegant.
Can you share whether these cards are the standard size – 5-1/2 X 4-1/4? I purchased a couple of these stamp sets and the images are much larger than I expected! A your cards a larger size? Please share the dimensions with us! I’d love mine to look just like yours – they are so beautiful!
Hi Penny,
Yes they are the US standard size 5-1/2 X 4-1/4. I did actually stamp some images off the edge of the card as they are wonderfully large, they certainly pack a punch don’t they! Thanks so much for visiting and for your lovely comments, I hope you have as much fun as I did making them. Happy World Card making day, Crafty hugs, Therese
These are stunning cards. ..sadly I can’t seem to get hold of any of the stamps in the UK I particularly love berry kissed and so wanted it but Import duty to the UK now sadly prohibits me from buying direct!
I hear you Susan, postage and tax can certainly add to a price, we have the same problem in Australia. When I lived in the UK I managed to get the Penny Black stamps there then but I can’t remember where it was from or if they are still in business. if I think of it or find them I will share for sure. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments. Crafty hugs, Therese
Beautiful cards. Love them.
Original and striking idea for cards! Lovely.
I can’t stop looking at these cards–LOVE every single one! Thank you for inspiring me, Therese!
Simply stunning! Love them all. And I’m going to case this idea.
I just love all of these cards, however sadly I can’t seem to purchase any of the stamps in the UK . So effective and beautiful in their simplicity
I love your cards. I’ve never seen anything like this. I must try. Thank you for the inspiration.
