Video : Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Time for a totally new and fun product from Altenew, they just keep em coming!  We are hopping along to celebrate and you should have arrived here from KELLY’s wonderful blog.

Introducing (insert drumroll here) Watercolor Brush Markers, and they are in the Altenew colours that we all know and love!

I decided to create some watercoloured flowers today, and these bright colours made for such a cheerful design.  Out came the Build-A-Flower: Anemone and a beautiful floral set called Whimsical Flowers.

Altenew - Anemone - Whimsical Flowers - Watercolor Brush Markers - Therese Calvird (card video) 1 copy

I added a sentiment from the Geometric Flowers set and popped everything on a panel of the gorgeous Yogurt Cardstock.

I decided it would be easier for you to see these brushes in action so I created a video to show you my card process.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

  15. Gorgeous card Therese. Those pens look so easy to colour and blend – just what I need as colouring has always been my weak side. Thanks for sharing.

  25. I think I’m a bit too excited about these markers! So very tempting although I still haven’t played with the pan watercolor set. Beautiful coloring, beautiful card!

  26. I love that emerald flower. Your coloring is fantastic. Thanks for the video. I am new to watercolor markers, having just bought my first ones a couple weeks ago. My first attempt to use them was a disaster so now I’m trying to watch videos to learn how to use them. Your card looks great!

    1. Hi Annette, I am not sure which brand you bought but a BIG help to me was when I tried different cardstocks until I found one that ‘worked well’ and so far it’s the Bristol Smooth Cardstock every time. Hope this helps. Crafty hugs, Therese

  27. Love to watch you make cards, also you re-stamp the card after you color it, I have tried that but I have messed up my card sometimes, for some reason even with my Misty I still don’t always get the card in exactly the same spot. So I’ve given that up but I think it does make a difference because your lines are so bold and the card looks so good —–

    1. Hi Lyn, I have messed up when restamping too, but only a couple of times and it’s very frustrating for sure. I always just sit my cardstock in the same corner of the MISTI each time (try not to think too much about it) and stamp and 9.8 times out of 10 it’s fine. I think it does make a difference too so I tolerate those few times when it doesn’t happen to plan lol. Hope you have a great and crafty day, thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments, Hugs, Therese
