Cards4Men Video : How to Make a Masculine Card – 5 Easy Tips!

Today I share a masculine card design using the fun Ice Cream You Scream set from Picket Fence Studios.

I kept the card very CAS in true ‘Cards 4 Men’ style and I share the process and the tips with you in the video linked below.

This particular stamp set doesn’t have any sentiments but lots of ‘sweet’ words some to mind, especially with the sundae elements that I just can’t wait to try out.

I was happy to see that the Sweet Dear Friend Stamp Set does have a couple of ice cream sentiments so I grabbed one of those  and angled it down the VERY tall soft serve or as we call them in Australia ‘Frosty Boy’ ice cream.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

What is your recipe for a masculine card?  I always keep them clean and simple, bright colours  and if possible I like to add some humour…..  it seems to work for me.  Thanks so much for your visit here today, Hugs

  1. I’ve never heard of a Frosty Boy, for me in Sydney it would be a Mr Whippy! Great card, just love the stamp set.

  2. The colouring style and background blue really suits the fun image. I love how you put the sentiment down the side.

  3. Great card! I personally don’t eat a lot of ice cream (this would be way too much for me!) but my 21 year old son would think that this is awesome, especially if it was chocolate!!

  4. Looks scrumptious, Therese … and so fun … who couldn’t smile seeing this coming out of an envelope! It’s just my size … though it’d take some sculpting for me as I’m not a lover of soft ice cream … imagine how fast you’d have to eat this before it melts … though I guess it’d be fun trying!! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  5. That’s a great image, Therese! It’s a little too cold for any kind of frozen treats around here as it’s only about 14F out there today. Brrrr…. Great idea to use that sentiment from Sweet Dear Friend. It looks like it just belongs. Such a great design, and I’ll admit that I’d have tried to fit the whole cone on…. Thanks for showing us that it’s not always necessary. Thanks for your tips, too. I think I’m going to try going bright on my next masculine card. Have a good one. : )

  6. That is one tall ice cream cone! I think I “need” this set! I love how you colored it, and what a perfect sentiment for it too! Great tips for masculine cards! Simple is best for my group of men, mainly because they don’t know that they need to keep them and frame them – lol!

  7. Awesome card! Could have polished a few of those of this week. I’ve been away in 40+ everyday! I had to settle for a few adult beverages instead which would also be great for a masculine card 🙂
