  14. Very nice card Therese. I am not much on using die cuts…I much prefer to stamp directly on paper and watercolor. But your use of the dies was really nice. Thank you so much for sharing today.

  15. NICE! Altenew card designers have inspired me to also use black and white stripes on my cards! They add this modern touch to any card! Love your card! Thanks for sharing!

  16. Love the tropical colours as we slip into autumn, now adding the black and white papers to my wish list, thanks Therese for the inspiration

  17. I LOVE the flowers against that fantastic black striped paper!! They POP. If they just sold a pad of that paper with just that stripe I would buy it!

  18. I am loving that black and white paper pack myself. You make coloring the flower and leaf pieces so easy. And it worked beautifully. Gorgeous.

  19. Wow, stunning card and I love the pop the black and white gives your watercoloured die cut flowers. Elegant and graphic at the same time.
Can’t wait to get home and settle into YouTube for the video.

  22. yep, I totally understand why you love those black and white papers.
Your cards are just beautiful, I have been trying to stay strong, but think im going to cave – do you suggest a pack to get first?

  23. That is a great set! I was just talking to my sister, and she got her very first Altenew set this week. I kind of raved about Altenew’s quality, and hopefully, we’ll be able to craft together and she can try out my sets. Your card is gorgeous. This week I’m in a yellow and polka dotted mode. Your flowers pop against your dp so well. That sentiment works to compliment your paper too. Another great video, btw! Have a wonderful weekend my friend! xo

  24. Absolutely love the black and white background. It really makes the watercolors pop. Lovely job. Thanks for sharing your creativity!

  25. Lovely card – I wouldn’t have thought of coloring the dies instead of using colored cardstock but if you want a perfect match…

  26. Love this card, Therese! I never would have thought about using watercolors to create a base paper from which to cut these die flowers. And I missed this set—-How did that happen? LOL……The colors you chose work so well together, and against the black they just popl Love that sentiment, too. Thanks, as always, for your amazing inspiration!

  27. Fabulous card! Gorgeous new colors of Watercolor Brush Markers. Love your idea of coloring the papers for the die cut. Great video too.

  28. Gorgeous card! I loved your coloring technique of mixing colors on white cardstock and then die cutting your blossoms and leaves. This looks like something I can do too! Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.

    1. Those colours are fabulous Therese, and on the black and white … well they are just amazing. Can’t wait to try these markers. Looking forward to seeing you in Melbourne – only 14 more sleeps! 😁😁

  29. I NEED that patterned paper pack! Love your beautiful flowers. Making your own coloured card is perfect with the die cuts.

  30. I, too, love the Wild Rose 3D dies, but it was your watercoloring with the new watercolor combo that made that rose come to life! And your background…oh, my, it is just stunning against the rose!

  31. What colorful and eye-catching cards! I love the 3D dies as they add such depth to the card. Yes, I’m starting to be very fond of black and white striped backgrounds.

  32. The colours of these new watercolour brushes are so appealing to me. Makes me long to be on an island in the Caribbean. Ah well… I’m on a beautiful island, but much further north. lol I’ve looked at layering die sets without the stamps & wondered what I’d do with them, but I sure like what you created with them by painting the paper first, then cutting & layering. Great card! Thanks.

  33. The Wils Roses look great in those colors, and it POPs on the B&W paper! Couldn`t get your video to load for some reason, so will try again later to watch it.

  34. Love the bright flowers on the black and white striped paper. I have a thing about black and white patterned paper, especially stripes. My problem with the paper is I get it and then don’t want to use it as then it will be gone! The new colors in the Tropicsl Fiesta set are wonderful!

  35. What a great idea! Those flowers turned out so well and your card is beautiful. Thanks for the video and the inspiration

  42. What a beautiful card! I love the black and white paper as the background for the beautiful bright colors! Thank you so much for taking the time to share and do a video!

  43. I love colorful images with black and white so this really speaks to me, Therese. It says I need to buy that paper. 😉 Making your own watercolored paper looks fantastic. I just got the 3D Garden set and watercolored my pieces.

  44. Thank you for the video — really helps ! Also love 5hose black and white papers for backgrounds with these beautiful flowers

  45. Fantastic! The super bright blooms against the black and white is such a cool look. And I’m really feeling the tropical vibes from the colors in this pack. Thanks for sharing with us!

  46. Thanks so much for sharing this technique. I have the Layered Floral Elements set and, while I love it, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to match card stock colors. I don’t have watercolor markers (but I may have to get this new Tropical Fiesta set), but I think I’ll try it with my Tombow markers.

  47. A gorgeous card, Therese! Love the bright flowers against the black & white! (One of my favorite backgrounds also!)

  48. I just love my Altenew 3D flower die cuts – and creating them out of the watercolor paper with these markers is a brilliant idea. The flowers look so unique – it’s hard to believe they came from the same dies. Love the black and white texture in the background too. Such a happy card!

  49. Love. love. love. the contrast between the geometrics and the florals also between the b&w and the yellow/orange. Terrific card! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
