How to Make 2 Beautiful Altenew Daisy Cards + Video!

Today I share 2 cards using the Altenew Beloved Daisy Stamp Set.  This is part of my Take 2 with Therese video series with Altenew and if you haven’t caught any of these videos before I have a link to my playlist with more inspiration HERE.

This post is a Stamp Highlight using the Beloved Daisy Stamp Set and I have 2 different cards using the same sets and the same colours but they are both quite different.

Altenew - Beloved Daisy - Weekend Doodles - Take 2 with Therese (card video) 1 copy

Starting with a emboss resist technique.  I heat embossed the daisy images and used a smooshing technique to create a watercolour effect background.

  1. Therese these are just stunning… just the wake up I needed! I’ll be searching my mighty Altenew stash to CASE this smooshing beauty!! off to be amazed…
    =]

  2. Love both the cards, especially that lovely bouquet. Just sent the post to my sister-in-law who loves bright yellow and pink. Her craft room is the brightest yellow I have seen in a long time, accented with bright pink.

  3. LOVE love love your two cards.. especially the first one! The colors are just what we need after this long and cold winter!

  4. Absolutely gorgeous cards, Therese! Love the bold color palette you chose. Makes me think we might get some warm days soon. Easter Blessings.

  5. Just saw your Altenew post so came by to pin the emboss resist card which I LOVE! Great tip for adding that last stem & you really make me want to do smooshing with a piece of acetate–something I’ve seen before, but haven’t tried. Wonderful inspiration today, Therese!

  6. Ooh, fabulous cards – loved both, but the colours you used in the smooshing were gorgeous. Haven’t gotten messy for a while, but may have to try again. Tfs.

  7. WOW!! Both of these cards are gorgeous Therese, I love the watercolor smooshing you did on your first card, the colors are beautiful.
Your second card is just perfect for Mother’s Day or any other occasion, bright and cheerful, and that twine bow is just the perfect little detail.
I always forget what kind of twine you use, I love it because it creates the most amazing bows.
Thank you for sharing this fun and fabulous video.
    Hugs.
    Maria Rodriguez.

  8. What a gorgeous, vibrant daisy bouquet, Therese … the dimension is fabulous! LOVE the smooshed embossed resist daisies … such a delicious riot of colour … and a fantastic sense of energy … yum! Hugs, Anita 🙂
