Today I share how I made this watercolour panel which was inspired by my photo at Altenew this month. And check it out, it’s in my favourite card making colours… and can you guess what they may be?
So I went a little overboard with the colouring for this beautiful image from the Everlasting Happiness Stamp Set. But for some reason I couldn’t stop lol. I started with the Watercolor Brush Markers…..
Then I moved to the Watercolor Palette…
And I even grabbed the Ink Sprays!
The Obsidian ink worked perfectly with watercolour and I also used it for the sentiment which came from the Sincere Greetings Stamp Set.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

I can’t wait to see your take on the inspiration! For all the deets and to join in the fun at this month’s challenge you can head over to the Altenew Blog.

I love this color palette!! 🙂
Oh Therese this is absolutely beautiful. I’ll have to try it. Have the set, so I must. Thank you for the video. Need to go and watch that now. I’m sure there will be some great tips there as usual. Thank you.
I like the way it turned out, too. The colors are pleasing and gorgeous.
Warm, rich colors! I love watching you paint. When you said there is a time when you just don’t like it and want to start over, I laughed. It is exactly when I quit. All the background color scars me, and I feel I ‘ve ruined it all. I must persist.
Love the colours and your beautiful inspiration!
Oh my, Therese! This is gorgeous! I’m so glad you kept going with your background watercoloring until you like it! Every layer of color and flecks is wonderful!
I so admire your talent, Therese! I have yet to open the set of Altenew watercolor markers I bought, but you’ve inspired me to start creating! Love the colors for this month’s challenge & LOVE your card!
Wow this is so pretty Therese, love the colour combo too 😉
beautiful, and such lush colors.
I love the mix of colors on the background, Therese. This is such a lovely card.
Therese! This is exquisite. I could stare at it all day long.
What a really lovely card Therese, I love the colours used the background and the splatters 🙂 hugs XoX
Really gorgeous card!
Your card is a work of art! I love the bright colors of the flowers and the contrasting pale background colors. The fine black border on the flowers makes them all pop! Fantastic job! Thank you for sharing.
WOW! Not what I was expecting. Gorgeous. Of course your fav colour combo 😉
The messy background really makes this card. Great colour choices.
I love these colours too! Top choice, Therese 🙂
Therese, you did NOT go one tiny splatter overboard! It is a wonderful example of your process! LOve the smaller popped-up panel!
=]
I love your persistance through the ‘I don’t know if I like it’ stage. I would have given up. Your end product is stunning
So stunning! This reminds me of Japanese paper. Your colouring is perfect:)
You’d laugh if you saw me working with splatters…I end up with more splatters on me, the desk, and the floor than on my card! That, and I have a tendency to ruin my design with more blobs and blotches than splatters! It’s just not my forte, lol! Your whole card turned out beautifully. Those colors are so summery together, and that stamp is delightful. Another great video, too! Hope all is well with you. xo
Gorgeous, Therese … right down to those oh so perfect splatters! A delicious tropical colour palette … loved watching how it all came together and evolved into such a beauty! Hugs, Anita 🙂
This is like a little piece of art… those flowers against that stunning background are perfection.
Love the colors and the stamp.
