Ellen Hutson October 2019 Release & Giveaway Hop + Video!

Today it’s time to mix up some Watercolor Brush Marker colours to create a beautiful unique Mondo flower!  This is part of a new exciting release from Ellen Hutson so if you are hopping along to celebrate you should have arrived here from SHARON’s wonderful blog.

I have two cards and a video to share today. Starting with the new Lil’ ‘Squatch Stamp Set…  and you may notice that there is not a ‘Squatch in sight lol.

Instead I created a simple wreath using the smaller images from the set.

Lostinpaper - Ellen Hutson - Lil Squatch (card) 1 copy

And I added a sentiment from the Totally Random Sayings Vol 3.

I used the newest addition to the Mondo family for my second card adding a multi coloured look with the Watercolor Brush Markers.  You can see how I coloured the images in the video linked below.

Lostinpaper - Ellen Hutson - Mondo Chrysanthemum - Totally Random Sayings Vol 3 (card video) 1 copy

This sentiment is also from the Totally Random Sayings Vol 3 and stamped with my fave new black ink for sentiments, Altenew’s Obsidian Pigment Ink.

  1. Beautiful cards Therese. Love both. The sentiment stamps are gorgeous too! Really love the script. Thank you again for your amazing inspiration, hints and tips.

  2. Love your fall wreath card, thanks for reminding me a way to use little stamps for a focal point. The Mondo chrysanthemum is gorgeous, thanks for sharing your process with another awesome video tutorial.

  3. Lil Squatch is my favorite. I like the,way you used the pieces to make the wreath. It make the stamp set more versatile. I’m thinking I *need* that one and the snowmen die I’ve seen in the other links. 😉

  4. Thanks for sharing your technique for watercoloring the mondo flowers and especially the leaves. It was very helpful to me.

  5. Fabulous use of those smaller images from the Lil’ ‘Squatch set. I love the “Unicorn colors” on the Mondo Chrysanthemum. That’s my favorite from this release.

  6. Loved the fall wreath you created but the floral card blew me away. The soft colors you chose are perfect and really do look like unicorn colors. I really need to get my watercolor markers out and start playing. Thanks for the inspiration and a really helpful video!

  7. That card is stunning! And good way to showcase using only parts of a stamp set on card number 1.

  8. Beautiful cards as always, Therese! Love the colouring of the Mondo flower, so soft and pretty, and the wreath is so creative, showing how to stretch your stamps. Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration.

  9. That is such a stunning floral card Therese. I love the black and white strip makes it feel really balanced. I also love the wreath card – when i first saw that set it didnt appeal to me (Im from Australia) but i didnt really notice all the smaller stamps – great job

  10. Your cards and the colors are beautiful! The wreath card is really nice and the coloring of the Chrysanthemum is gorgeous! Thank you.

  11. Both of these cards are gorgeous! Those colors are perfect on the chrysanthemum coloring, and the wreath is simple yet elegant.

  12. Dear Therese
Loved the wreath builder card with the fall color combination but when i saw the coloring on the second card I just couldnt believe my eyes. It is so dainty. You are a genius.Blessings

  13. Therese, your work is always so lovely! The wreath is fabulous and the Mondo Chrysanthemum is amazing.

  14. Love the wreath, the colors are so pretty! I love the mondo flower – you always amaze me with your talent!

  15. Such a pretty card, thanks for sharing with us. I have to say waste is a bugbear for me, so many videos I see so much is wasted, images die cut from the middle of a piece of card stock, so glad you are careful with your supplies.

  16. What a beautiful card you made using this month’s mondo flower. I think embossing makes water color painting so much faster. Your color choices are lovely. I also love the wreath card you made. thank you for sharing.

  17. Absolutely stunning as always! I really love the wreath! and apologies for being MIA, hugs XoX

  18. I so like the small wreath on your lovely card Therese. I also love your card with the mondo floral, it is beautiful & the black & white diagonal stripe on the side just finishes it. Thanks for the video too. I always enjoy your videos.

  19. Two beauties, Therese … that sweet wreath is just delicious … and the mondo bloom’s a stunner in those fabulous variegated colours … gorgeous, gorgeous! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  20. Therese, your MONDO chrysanthemum is to die for! The colors you achieved are so magical and magnificent! I can not wait to try this! I also dig how you used the Squatch set to create the acorn wreath. What a great idea and I hope you do, do a card with the ‘lil Squatch later on in a video! Maybe a Squatch in an Australian forest! Next to an ancient tree! Lovely work as always my dear!!

  21. Love the fall wreath. I have lots of acorns in
my backyard so they are very appropriate.
The flower is gorgeous. Great cards.
    thanks for sharing

  22. Love both cards! Very clever to make a wreath out of the smaller stamps. Beautiful coloring on the flower.

  23. Beautiful cards! I have to try to make my own wreath with my stamp sets 😊. I love how you colored the chrysanthemum💕.

  24. The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw your chrysathum card colors was “where is the unicorn”. I love the festive colors and I immediately wanted to know how to achieve them. The whole card is beautiful!

  25. That wreath is perfection. I love the images and the colors are all my faves. That is a stunning card.
