Time for my second set of Same But Different Christmas Card Series for 2019. And today I am joining Michelle again with her fabulous Challenge Me a Chrismas Card and I challenged her to use
…. Sentiments! My colours today were inspired by the MFT Candy Land Paper Pack and I have three basic ways that I have used sentiments on my cards! And I started by building some Christmas trees!
I basically chose sentiments in descending size from a variety of stamp sets.
I used Lawn Fawn Simply Winter Sentiments, MFT Holiday Tag Talk,
Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees and Hero Arts Off-Beat Holiday Messages. I mixed it up between heat embossing and stamping the sentiments and die cut them with the Heffy Doodle Strips of Ease.
Next it was time to crack out the speech bubbles and lots of sentiments, the only criteria was that they ‘fit’ in the speech bubble and were Christmassy!
I stamped one version in Catherine Pooler Inks to match the design paper, and the other I heat embossed in white.
I used Retro Holiday Greetings, Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings (a fave from last year), Holiday Tag Talk as well as Very Merry Sentiments and the Sledding Stamp Set.
I popped up all the speech bubbles but you could just as easily add them direct to the card front to make them ‘mail’ friendly.
My final and most CAS design is a ‘Keep Calm’ version usting the fabulous Essentials By Ellen Letterboard Dies.
I also used Letterboard Larger Alpha and a bright red Merry from Penny Black. I did sneak a little Santa hat from Sledding in here too (but don’t tell).
And in true same but different style this next card is created in red and with a different sentiment.
