Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set Release Blog Hop & Giveaway + Video!

It’s time for a fun release from Altenew and I have been so excited about this one…….  of course we are hopping along to celebrate the release so you should have arrived here from YOONSUN’s amazing Blog!

I knew before I even started to paint that these Metallic Watercolors would be incredible, and IRL they are even more divine.

Altenew - Metallic Watercolor Palette - Ruffled Flowers - Therese Calvird (card video) 1 copy

I kept it very simple today and chose to use the Real Gray Cardstock on which I painted some embossed Ruffled Flowers.

And for the sentiment I used the Fancy Hello Die (which I adore, just in case you hadn’t noticed lol).

  1. I love your colors choices and the tip on leaving the foam diecut piece in place while gluing the cardstock on it – super helpful!

  2. I saw you make a card last week using the MFT squiggly flowers dies. I loved the card and now I can’t find the video anywhere. Do you remember the card and could you please send me the information where I can find it again. Thanks for your help. Sandra McDonald Smcdonald49@gmail.com

  3. Wow. Wow. Wow is all I can say right now. So simple but yet soo beautiful. I made a card 2 days ago and definitely could have used the metallic paint for the shimmer aspect for sure as it had fairies on it, so I will DEFINITELY buy this. Thank you soo much for sharing this Ms. Calvird.

  4. Wow Therese! I KNEW you would go the elegant / understated route and I really LOVE the card you created. Aren’t these metallic colours gorgeous. Am lusting after this set, but haven’t been game to see how expensive they are, because as you know, shipping to Oz is expensive as well. Puts some of these fabulous products out of my price range. Nonetheless, am putting them at the very top of my wish list. Thanks for sharing your talent as always. Bev.

  5. This is such a lovely design Therese, love the new metallic watercolor tones, they are must haves, especially if used with darker colors

  6. beautiful card, love these shimmery metallic water colors on the Real Gray cardstock. The silvery leaves are so pretty and elegant too. Thanks for another awesome video tutorial.

  7. Therese, the grey cardstock lends such a classy look to this pretty CAS card. Thanks for the video. The Metallic Inks look like a super addition to anyones craft room.

  8. Gorgeous card. The metallic colors you chose are beautiful against the gray card stock and I love the sheen they give. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Your card is gorgeous, Therese. Just love how opaque these watercolours are and the shimmer looks amazing. Thank you for sharing

  10. This card is simple but beautiful! I love the look of the Aqua metallic water color on this gray cardstock. I love you cards!

  11. I love watercoloring but I’m not very good at it, so my first thought was that I didn’t need these new metallic watercolors. I was wrong. Your card is exquisite — so beautiful and elegant. I love it.

  12. Great card, post and video. Love the colors you used for this card. I never think to combine colors like this and they look so wonderful! BTW, I’m impressed with your video. Watched it on a big screen and it was still very sharp.
