I’m back again sharing another video as part of my Same But Different Christmas Card Series for 2019. And today I havea theme! I am always inspired by colour and today I thought I would ‘limit’ myself to one (well, kinda lol).
So, I picked ‘Navy’ and that is because I don’t think I have ever made Navy Christmas cards before and I wanted to see what I could do with it. I started with a fun striped background , yes, it’s the stripes again….
Then I got out the Waffle Flower Crafts Pull-Tab Tree, and played. You can watch the ‘how to’ assembly in the video linked below. I created my own design paper with Altenew’s Baroque Motifs,
then added a sentiment on top from the Concord & 9th Very Merry Sentiment Set.
I used the ‘left-over’ stipes to create a simple panel,
with a 2 tone sentiment this time.
My next card has a navy Baroque Motif design and a sentiment from the Festive Poinsettia Stamp Set.
This time I popped it up on a Dotted Swirls debossed background and added a few Pinkfresh jewels (my new fave embellie at the moment).
The next one is probably my fave, I stamped the co-ordinating Waffle Flower Christmas Tree and sentiment and die cut it out.
Then I added it to a MFT Snowfall Vertical background, I think this card would look great in any colour!
My final card uses another sentiment from the Very Merry Sentiments set
and a simple Layered Snowflake from Altenew.

I would not have picked navy for Christmas card designs but, as you have shown, it works! Love all the cards. I too love your comments during your videos. You bring lots of smiles! The tree construction (folding and taping) looks a bit complicated, but the results are worth it.
Just beautiful. I love the navy with the neutral colors. And the hint of silver is pretty darn perfect.

The navy and the baroque make very elegant cards. I’ve been thinking about chartreuse as well but sadly the Black Friday budget is obliterated. I like your jingle bells on the stripey card. Hand painted stripes are always a good idea. There’s something soothing about them.
