Altenew February Inspiration Challenge – Artist Marker Peony + Video!

I adore the tropical feel of these gorgeous Frangipani flowers which grow near me and the smell is divine!  But alas I do not have the Playful Plumeria Stamp Set which is Altenew’s equivalent……   but it’s a colour challenge so theoretically you can just go for it with what you have and that’s what I did.

It’s been an age since I coloured the Peony Spray from Altenew and today I mixed up the inspiration colours and used the Warm Sunshine Cardstock in the background (just wanted to keep you guessing lol)

Now, I know this wouldn’t happen to you, but I couldn’t choose a sentiment, call it night duty brain,

Altenew - Peony Spray - Circled Sentiments - Therese Calvird (card video) (1) copy

but eventually I settled on a Circled Sentiment, a perfect fall back.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

I can’t wait to see your take on the inspiration head HERE to join the challenge!  Hope you have a fabulous week, Hugs

  1. Fabulous card, Therese. Your creativity is endless and perfectly executed. Thank you, too, for another wonderful video 🙂

  2. Really beautiful card Therese. Love the colours. Beautifully bright. Love using alcohol markers. My favourite colouring medium.

  3. You have showed us how a CAS card can look simply fabulous Therese. Love the soft touches of colour on your flower and the bold yellow to make it pop. Great choice of sentiment too.

  4. Black and yellow is always a winner. I like the overhanging inlay – good idea. The circle sentiment is a nice contrast to the rectangle.

  5. Beautiful inspiration photo (I’m imagining that fragrance!), Therese … and an equally beautiful take on it! You had me smiling at your sentiment ‘interlude’ … happens to me soooo much … but isn’t it so satisfying when that perfect one just happens along! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  6. Gorgeous card Therese! We have frangipanis growing in various colours, but as you said the one in the inspiration photo has the best fragrance! It’s my favourite! 🥰

  7. Something I need to work on is making a white flower and you’ve given me great inspiration, Therese. I also struggle with what sentiment to use to I’m glad to see I’m not alone.

Thanks for visiting! I'd love to hear what you have to say.
