Today I wanted to watercolour and this time I decided to try it with 2 different watercolor mediums from Altenew. This is part of a stamp focus for Altenew using the new Exotic Garden Stamp Set.
To create a similar but different look using the same Exotic Garden Stamp Set I embossed the first image in white and the second I stamped in Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Here I used the Watercolor Brush Markers to add colour and the intensity of these is incredible,
and I think they are very easy to use! The window was die cut with the Create-A-Wreath Die Set and
the sentiment is from the Crystal Frames Stamp Set.
And now for the newest addition, the Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan Set, it has all the Altenew watercolour family colours, so is perfect to mix and match with all your existing Altenew products, it’s totally fab!
On this design I decided to add a die cut layered Hello and Hugs
with sweet Crimson sub sentiment from the same set.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD on YouTube.

Am I driving you crazy? I can’t stop watercolouring at the moment, and I totally blame Altenew… and the cool new Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan Set! I’ll be back soon, Hugs, Other Supplies: Watercolor Brush Markers – Rouge / Crimson / Ruby Red / Warm Sunshine / Sunkissed / Lime / Moss.

These are beautiful cards! The dark gray cardstock does provide a nice shadow. I enjoy your projects and videos where you often show me something unique and interesting, which is refreshing and appreciated. Thank you.
beautiful as always
Really beautiful cards Therese. Very pretty. You’re very creative and always an inspiration ❤️
Super layers of watercolors! I did a little watercoloring earlier but should have watched your video first, lol! I feel the same way about mixing whites too. I had an off-white water color paper and went with an ivory base because they nearly, nearly matched. And the colors from Altenew are so rich. Love how you’ve used them for these gorgeous flowers. Both cards look amazing. Saw your pix on IG of Fiji… I can’t even begin to imagine what that looks and feels like in real life…especially with snow outside my windows, lol. : ) xo
You may not be surprised that I think the grey was the perfect choice – loving your devil-may-care water coloring style on these, Therese. So beautiful… better go watch…xx
=]
Both beautiful cards. The grey is the perfect backdrop for them. You used one of my favourite sentiment positioning techniques – hide the mistake.
hahaha I use that sentiment position technique a LOT lol.
I’m with you on the different whites, Therese. I have to have them all the same too. I love both of these cards and while I mostly stamp in black I’m going to do more with white embossing after seeing your gorgeous card.
I love the grey circle card it is so simple and so pretty . The other card stamped with black looks too heavy and too busy – I usually love Altenew stamps but I’m not sure I would buy this one .Great colouring as always.
Really pretty cards
These are both gorgeous, Therese … such lovely watercolouring whether with brush pens or the 24 colour set. The circle die cut sure shows these lovely flowers off beautifully … and the grey is so stylish on the big bouquet! I smiled at you having to have the same whites … me too … no mix and match here either! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Beautiful and you can just keep on water-coloring. I’m loving it.
They are both incredibly gorgeous, Therese! I love how different the technique results look! Fantastic designs on both cards as well!
I love how different images look with different mediums! Gorgeous cards! I agree with the matching card stock. Often drives me crazy!!:) 🙂
Two gorgeous cards!
Love what you did! Thanks for sharing two ways to use the same stamp. Perfect!
