  1. As a teen, the field next to our house was vacant but I found some iris growing there and dug a few and brought them to our garden. When I left home, I took a couple to plant in my garden. A few always went with me to the next home and I still have some in my garden….and I’m retired! I love iris. This card is gorgeous.

    1. Really like the two layer card. The watercolored center section makes such a nice contrast with the black and white portion of the card.

  2. Beautiful card design and colouring. I like the contrast between the black and white and coloured portions.
What is the mask situation like in hospital?

    1. It is going to be interesting times at work, I know the government have employed Australian companies to produce protective wear, but I don’t know if we will see the benefits in the private sector… it’s going to be a wait and see I suppose. Hugs Therese

  3. Irises are such a gorgeous flower! So glad to see this new stamp set featuring an all time favorite. Your card is beautiful. Thanks for the water-coloring tips on your video; very helpful as always.

  4. It’s always fun to see you watercolor, and this is a beautiful design. I love the flowiness (is that a word?) of the iris stamp.

  5. What a pretty card- love the dimension! I enjoyed watching you watercolor! Thank you for the tips!

  8. This is beautiful and a perfect card design when you want to send a watercolored look, but haven’t a lot of time for creating. 🙂

  9. I really enjoyed your glazing technique – very helpful video. Your window card is a nice idea and a great inspiration. Thank you for your contribution to the Hop!

  10. I just love watching you create! I will have to try this glazing technique. Thanks for the inspiration!

  11. Such a pretty card, Therese. I am so fascinated how you manage to control where the water-colour went – int didn’t go over the edges. I am going to ry this, but I have low expectations, lol. Take care. xxx

    1. hahaha you can raise those ‘low’ expectations, add the clean water wherever you want to paint to be, then drop the paint in and let the magic happen… here’s the trick, don’t do this next an are that is wet as this will pull the colour into it, so paint areas that are not touching and then (the hard bit) wait for it to dry before adding another layer or painting directly beside it. Have fun! Hugs Therese

  12. Therese, your card is beautiful! Thanks for another fabulous video – and for introducing the term “glazing” to me!!

  13. So lovely, Therese … in blue? Yes. please! See how I’m growing? xx

  19. Smashing colours on your Iris!! I love the window you made for your card! I’ve subscribed to your blog, channel & on BlogLovin. Thank you for the great tips on water colouring. I’m learning that myself. What part of Australia do you live? I have family in N.S.W. My Mum & I visited my Uncle & his family in ‘84 & absolutely adored it! I would love to come back one day. Watercolours & Iris=Absolutely Gorgeous!! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you all!!

  23. Goodness, yes, I always learn something (read lots of things!) when I see your videos, Therese … like this beautiful glazing! As patience is a virtue, you must be very virtuous waiting for the layers to dry!! It’s a gorgeous card … so lovely in the soft blues! Do hope you’re staying safe, especially so given your profession … hugs, Anita 🙂

  24. Gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing the glazing technique. I’m not a very good colorist, but I plan to try this. Love this PAF lily.

  25. I’m really happy to learn about the glazing technique and enjoy watching you make this beautiful card!

  26. Just made some cards last week and cutout the center for a pop-up look . It’s a fun way to make a card. This blog hop is fun, in that no two people have been using this stamp set the same way. All artists and showing their stuff. Thanks for spending some time and crafting for us. Staying home, crafting and being safe. Take care.. 🙂

  27. I love your card! The raised rectangle matched perfectly with the bottom piece! (I definitely have a hard time with that – so far!) I really like the way you watercolored the iris, too! Thank you for sharing your talents and time!

  28. This is such a stunning effect that you share so beautifully. I can’t handle how much beautiful inspiration you share… all the time!!! Thank you, my beautiful friend.
