  5. The Bergenia card is stunning, but the Bird of Paradise card is my favourite.
No blending lines! – I’m sold.

  6. Wow!. What a variety of styles and colours. Love these cards Therese. The colouring of the Bergenia card Is simply amazing. The flowers are so realistic. You’ve used so many different techniques here, I just don’t know how you do it. Your brain must be in overdrive 24/7. Thank you. Always enjoy your work.

  7. You have quickly become one of my absolute favorite card designers. Those water colored flowers…yum!

  8. Great cards. I love the coloring on the begonia, and the bird of paradise as a silhouette is stunning.

  9. These are all gorgeous and you’re so clever to use the layering stamp to create the silhouette card. It works so beautifully with the Bird of Paradise set. As for style, I think your versatility allows you to create any style or design you wish. I would wish for that kind of style! 🙂

  10. The thank you card is absolutely, positively gorgeous! Would love to see a video on how you colored that. It looks so real, so pretty and so stunning.

  11. Gorgeous cards! It’s hard to tell you which one I like the most but I guess it will have to be between the one that you have the black silhouette with the blending background and the very first card with the flowers in the water. You are so talented! I love these blogs and Altenew!

  12. Love the way you used the stamps. Like you I do not know why I’ve never used these stamps as a silhouette. Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas.

  13. You did it again, dear talented Therese. Specific style or not, all your cards are gorgeous and inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us and for always thinking up new ways to use our stamps.

  17. Oh wow – all of these cards are wonderful! You are right they are all different but different is GOOD! 🙂 I would love to see a video sometime of the coloring technique you used in the first card. It is my favorite and is absolutely stunning!

  18. I love silhouette stamping, and I love it even more with the beautiful ink blending and that gorgeous new Bird of Paradise set!

  19. Therese, You answered many questions I had about the new ink applicator. I’m thinking they will sell out before I can order mine, but i’m going to try. Loved the ink blending colors and the bird-of-paradise is my favorite flower from this new release. Thanks for sharing.

  20. Your color blending is gorgeous.. I love the Bergenia in the vase. That set set is still on back order. I trying to wait patiently.

  21. Glad you found an ink blending tool that makes you happy. Ink blending is one of my fav techniques. As I watched you start the stamping I wondered 1. why you stamped the outline for a silhouette card and 2, why mask?

    1. I wondered the same thing too… lol. I suppose I was thinking that the black ink may ‘build up’ and be darker in that spot where I double stamped but it wouldn’t have probably made any difference really, maybe it was more out of habit. As for the outline stamp, probably a bit of habit too, but I also wanted it to be the same ‘shape’ as the outline shape, but this silhouette could be easily mixed up with less or more petals on the flowers if you wanted. Thanks so much Maxine for your lovely visit here today.

  22. Wow! Tye inspiration cards are fantastic! I can’t decide which one is my favorite. They are all absolutely stunning!

  23. I love your first card – so pretty! And that silhouette Bird of Paradise is stunning in it’s simplicity….just love it too!

  29. What pretty cards. They are all so nice. But I especially like the bergenia card.

  30. Beautiful cards! I love the ones with the vase and the birds of paradise – my favourites!

  31. That blending brush looks amazing. Every time someone comes out with a tool for “perfect” blending I buy it thinking it will solve my problem with splotches, but I’ve always been disappointed. Your endorsement of this one has be sold! All your cards are wonderful and I especially love the silhouette Birds of Paradise.

    1. Hi Cyndi, I hear you on the blending brush thing for sure. I was genuinely surprised at how well these brushes blended on Neenah with the Altenew inks, I’ve never had much luck with this combo before…. If you are having trouble blending have you tried using different cardstock? In particular Bristol smooth works well with many inks. thanks so much for your lovely visit and comments here today, Crafty hugs Therese

  32. Thank you for sharing your lovely cards. I love your no line colouring, and appreciate all the tips I pick up from the blog hops and videos. The bird of paradise silhoutte card is striking.

  41. Oh Therese, you have to show us how you created the Bergenia card. I really hope you filmed yourself making it! 🤞🤞 It’s gorgeous! So amazing how you colored the vase and the flower stem in the water! I know your cards might seem different, but you do have a style…I can always pick out one of your cards from websites displaying your work…I don’t know how to describe it…but you do, trust me! All your lovely designs today are just beautiful and fun and colorful…just what we all need to brighten our day! Thank you! 💛💛💛

  42. Your coloring is beautiful. Love the idea of the bird of paradise used as a silhouette. Thank you.

  43. Wowwww!! Your first card is just STUNNING!! Can’t take my eyes off it! And what a variety of cards here! Each one is so beautiful! <3 Thanks a lot for all the inspirations 🙂

  44. I had never heard of a Bergonia and it has fast become my favorite flower! That first card is a absolutely stunning, the water is so soft, the colors are magnificent and positioning that little fallen bud on the side is most most gentle!! I would love this card!! Thank you, it was very special. 🌾

  45. These are from the same artist? They’re so different! The first on is jaw dropping. I loved the video and the technique you showed. Thank you, Therese!

  46. I love that you have no particular style. I think that is why I love coming to your blog. It is always a very pleasant surprise that is so inspiring to try at least one thing. I have to say that no line colouring card is OUTSTANDING!! It is sooo sooo pretty, I love that vase, and the flower blossom in the corner. Your colouring couldn’t be more perfect.

  47. Absolutely stunning! Such high contrast against the gorgeous background blending… sensational. Of course, the braver could just color in the outlines but I wouldn’t dare risk all that blending…

  48. Love the Heart You card.. Such beautiful designs. I send several cards a week to relatives in nursing homes and to my friends and extended family. I would put this gift card to good use!

  49. Amazing cards as always, Therese! I totally love that new Bergenia (which I had never heard of but now want for my garden)!!! And the card using it knocked my socks off—just so lovely in the vase. The Amazing Things flower is a stunner, with its big size and i like it against the trellis. Your Bird of Paradise really pops in black against the blended ink. Thanks for always giving us such great inspiration with your work.

  50. Beautiful cards, Therese! You definitely wowed me with the coloring on the begenia builder! 😍😍😍

  51. Therese– I’m in absolute awe of how “photo real” your coloring is on the first card- wow! I’m inspired to keep at it. And such variety– you are definitely blessed with a breadth of creative talent , which we are equally fortunate you shared with us on the hop. I would never have thought of that silhouette use of the bird of paradise, but now you’ve got me thinking about other such possibilities from my stash! Thanks so much! Stay Safe and Be Well.

  52. Thanks for the review of the new brushes. Never thought about silhouette stamping with layering stamps. Such a great idea and a good way to stretch our stamps. Thanks for the inspiration and the really helpful video! Wonderful cards as usual. You’ve got me excited about this new release!

  53. Love your cards, love your videos! You make everything look so easy, no matter what technique you are using. Thanks for sharing.

  54. You always blend colors so well. What a beautiful collection of cards and colors.

  55. Wow! Those are all amazing! I love the first one you colored….stunning! My second favorite is the Bird of Paradise in black with that amazing ink behind it!

  56. Love your cards! I enjoy all the different looks you create. You make it look so easy to pull everything together.

  57. The watercolor is always my favorite! Can’t help being amazed at the patience and adding more color after each layer. I never tire of it!!

  58. Therese, you’re like a giddy school girl with that blending brush! I have a version from ‘another’ company. It’s so lovely to use. I love your card and techniques, as always. I did have a question about the vase with the Bergenia…are the vase stamps layered? I am very interested in recreating the look of flower stems behind the glass of the jar. If you have time…Thanks for sharing.💟

    1. Hi Rhonda, thanks so much for your lovely comments, the vase is not layered, I have done some no-line colouring and that is how I was able to make the vase look 3D ish… lol. I am practicing and loved using the Artist markers as I have been watercolouring sooo much lately. Hope you are having a great weekend, Crafty hugs, Therese x

  59. Fabulous cards, Therese! I don’t know what you mean about having no stylle! I want to Case every thing you make!! Your designs are stunning!

  60. I love your card samples! Beautiful card- the first is so pretty, and love the silhouette of the flowers.

  61. Your cards are beautiful and showcase many of the new products so nicely. That first card – I felt like I wanted to put the vase on my desk – so realistic.

  62. Absolutely stunning cards as always, Therese. Thank you for sharing your talent and showcasing some of Altenew’s wonderful new release. More items for my wish list!

  63. I really liked that you used the mandela stamp, that is my favorite new release.

  64. Beautiful card design creating these silhouettes, Therese. Using these larger blending brushes is a great idea. Having only smaller ones, I can see the value of these for blending color on larger backgrounds. tfs your card and helpful video. Stay well.

  65. What a gorgeous collection, Therese … each one a beauty! The bergenia is especially wonderful … and the bird of paradise silhouettes are stunning … so striking! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  66. The card with the flowers in water is by far my fav. It looks so real I was reaching to touch the water.

  67. Did I tell you how beautiful and gorgeous your cards are? If not i’m telling you now.

  68. Terese, you are one of my favourite crafters to see & I always enjoy your videos. Your first card is everything a soft gorgeous realistic card should be. I’d frame it if it was mine. I understand exactly what you mean when you say you don’t have a particular style, & maybe that’s good because you try many different techniques & designs & seem to always come up with goodness. That’s a great tip on using layering stamps for silhouettes. Layering & I don’t always see eye to eye, so to speak. Mind you, neither does ink blending. I’ve bought about three different things to try it with but not much difference. Good to know about Altenews new product. Thanks so much.

    1. These are beautiful! Your no line water coloring is always gorgeous. The metallic thread is a lovely addition to the trellis die panel. Your silhouette card is stunning. They look so pretty against that blended panel.

  69. Wow, you are right! Four very different, very awesome cards!
The first card may be the most spectacular card I’ve seen in this blog hop! I can’t imagine making a card even half as beautiful! I’m going to try though! I really was stunned with how beautiful the water looks with those colors on the flowers! It may be my new favorite color combo!

I enjoyed how the Birds of Paradise pops off the paper! I live in Florida, it is a perfect card from Floridians. We have Birds of Paradise grow outside.

The second card looked great–i really like that trellis piece, the bloom and that metallic thread!

All four of your cards were just gorgeous! Now, I want to watch your video on layering stamps! I’ll be back. This was my first time visiting your blog!

    He IS Able!
    Traci Starkweather

  70. I Love the Silhouette and the Vase and flower stamping it looks so realistic! Gorgeous Cards!

  71. You used two of my favorites from this release: the bergenia and the birds of paradise! I love how you added the little fallen blossom to your scene; it adds narrative to your card (for lack of a better word). I also love how you did the silhouettes of the birds of paradise. It has such a distinctive shape that that was the perfect way to use it. I have to say, I was really surprised that those ink colors worked together, but it looks fabulous.

  72. You make beautiful cards. Each is so special. Looks like something out of a magazine. Love this release, Altenew.

  73. Oh my god your coloring skills are incredible. I can totally see the water and the right shadows of the base in the first card and the flowers look so so real… I also admire the ink blending it is so surreal.. I really enjoyed seeing the birds of paradise with the silhouette effect.. So beautiful.. Glad I hopped to your blog

  74. Your no line coloring on your first card is amazing – just beautiful! Love all your pretty cards and thanks for sharing such great ideas and creativity!
