Do you like to make quick & easy floral cards? Today I have a very simple design that works perfectly for just that, and can easily be changed up to use whatever flower you like…. you could even use a stamped flower!

It’s time for another Craft-A-Flower release from Altenew and this one is the beautiful Anemone. Did you arrive here from VIRGINIA’s fabulous Blog? if you did, then you are in the right place!

I decided to make a ‘white’ flower today and for interest I added one layer using vellum.

Altenew - Craft-A-Flower - Anemone - Fragile Foliage (card video) 1 copy

The leaves were stamped fromt he Build-A-Flower: Anemone Stamp Set and a simple sentiment added from the Fragile Foliage set.

  1. I had white anemones in my garden but they were so happy they took over! Still love this flower though. I’m going to strive to make “simple” cards because I ALWAYS seem to want to add “just one more thing”. lol

  2. Gret start to a bank holiday… even though I have to go to work now, lol. Gorgeous card, Therese. Thank you, thank you, your videos and creations are always so very inspiring. I’ve said it before, I know, and fair warning…. I WILL most likely say it again.

  3. I always so look forward to your videos. Your voice is so soothing and I love your sense of humor. This was my favorite card of the hop! What an impact for such a simple card!

  4. As always another beautiful card! Would never have thought to just use white! Thank you for the video. Makes it easier for me to understand the process when I can watch and read how you created the card.

  5. Your card is so subtle in colors. I bought the spicy yogurt cardstock but it hasn’t arrived yet. I really like it with the vellum.

  6. Therese, thanks for all of your video inspiration. I greatly appreciate it. I get so much more out of actually seeing how the card is made rather than just reading about how it’s made. I love your beautiful while flower.

  7. LOVE the vellum layer! That touch of yellow looks great on the yogurt cardstock. This design would make a great card set for gifts. Thank you for the inspiration!

  8. This is so beautiful! I love how you used the vellum! Such a subtle and beautiful card! I could see this design being used for a wedding or anniversary or sympathy card. Very inspiring!

  9. I love to see designers do white flowers and yours is amazing. I love the addition of the vellum layer!! Inking the leaves directly on the card stock looks really neat with the 3D flower. That is a great idea to try!

  10. In a former garden, I had white anemones in one full bed. I loved seeing all those fluttery white flowers in the Springtime. You’ve helped me to remember those pretty blooms, and now I’m wondering if I should plant a few in the bare Springtime spots…. Beautiful card. Love the extra lightness the vellum gives your design. Truly lovely! xo

  11. Gorgeous, elegant card., I love the vellum layer — I’m going to try that with one of the craft-a-flower sets I have (maybe the lily?), until I can get my hands on this one.

  12. Awesome card! I love its simplicity, and the white is so pure. The flower just grabs your attention.

  13. This white flower is the best! The vellum layer goes so well with the spicy yoghurt cardstock and raising the layers makes it much more interesting. CAS perfection!

  14. Spicy yogurt just seems to make everything better. I like the simple beauty. I’d like to make this card.

  15. Simple is sometimes best and it worked a treat with this car.Love the vellum and think this anemone set will be a winner. Thanks for sharing!

  16. Such a pretty clean and simple card. Love the use of vellum and the way you popped up the layers. Thanks for the inspiration!

  17. The speckly paper makes for such a gorgeous background for this beautiful bloom, Therese … love the unexpected vellum layer … it’s so soft and dreamy among the fresh white and yellow! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  18. White flowers can be difficult but the addition of vellum adds a different shade to add contrast. Beautiful card, Therese.

  19. Love this flower! Your example is as gorgeous as you are, lovely lady!
