Have you ever tried using just one layer of a floral die to create a design? What can I say, it really doesn’t get any more clean and simple than this!
It’s time for another Craft-A-Flower release from Altenew and this one is the beautiful Rose. Did you arrive here from KEISHA’s fabulous Blog? if you did, then you are in the right place!
I love Aga’s card designs and feel that this one was very inspired by her. With only one layer I decided to use design paper to create some added interest and the 12 X 12 Celebrate pack was the perfect choice.
Adding dimension to the flower also helped add some interest.
The sentiment is from the Holiday Tag Sentiments set which has so many non-holiday sayings to choose from too!
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by 10/12/2020 for a chance to win.
We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew Winners Page on 10/15/2020.

You’ve chosen the perfect patterned papers for this gorgeous rose, Therese! So beautiful!
This is absolutely stunning. Who would have thought that one piece could make such a beautiful impression. Loving this flower.
This is simple and beautiful and of course a great way to use some of the patterned paper that we all have tucked away!
Beautiful!!! Very abstract design!!!!

You always make beautiful cards! 💜
So clever, never did think of using only one die. Simple and stunning.
This looks really good as a one layer!
Hi, Therese. Letting your patterned paper be the color in your flower is BRILLIANT! The subtilty the partial pattern and the pattern itself give just enough color and definition to see it is clearly a rose. Thank you for sharing.
So pretty!! I love the minimal-ness of this technique!
So unique on your style, love it.
This is so pretty
I LOVE this idea, Therese! What a unique, lovely card design and I LOVE how you utilized the designer paper…

Unique card, the patterned paper is so pretty.
I love how you used only part of the flower on the patterned paper…it looks complete!
You are SO right…c&s and easy, too. Love the paper pack and your use of it. Thanks.
I really like the rose and leaves cut from patterned paper. A great use for paper that might otherwise not get used.
This is interesting to view with the papers you used. Very nice.
Well how smart and creative are you! And just when I thought this was the easiest card in the world, you did bring up the issue of placement. Well, I like your placement, so now it is CAS and fast since you did the hard work LOL! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration. Now I need to buy that die set!
Good sample on how to use less. Great idea for the paper use.
Beautiful, Therese … what a brilliant idea to use the DP for this lovely rose … so creative! Hugs, Anita 🙂
