Altenew Video Hop – Giveaway + Video!

Have you ever tried adding colour to embossing folders with dye inks? Today I share this very EASY technique and make a clean and simple card to share with you!

But first did you know that Altenew is celebrating the recent new release with a video hop? And I have the link to my video below so you can easily join along and have a chance to WIN.

Here is today’s card, how cool is this Majestic Bloom 3D Embossing Folder!

I am loving the ‘sandstone’ look that the Morning Frost Crisp Dye Ink gave on the folder.

And I added a Simple Greetings Die sentiment.

You can see my video and join the HOP at YouTube HERE.

I hope that you are inspired to try this very easy technique and if you do please share it with me as I always love to see what you create! Til next time, Crafty Hugs,

  1. Absolutely beautiful. Wasn’t going to buy this EF, but you’ve changed my mind. Thank you Therese. Off to watch your video❤️

  2. I used to do this a lot….seeing what you have done inspires me to get out my Distress Inks and give it a go again especially since I just received several of the Altenew 3-D embossing folders!!!! YIPEE!

  3. LOVE IT! clean, simple, fast- this idea would make great card sets.
Do you offer biscuits or cookies with tea? Either way, I’ll be around later! 🙂

      1. Cake please! Can you wait until my plane arrives? I think it may take around 10 hours or so.

  4. As always, I love your work and your imagination is wonderful! Beautiful card and a great idea to try!

  5. That is a really stunning embossing folder. Wonder if I can find room in my embossing folder drawer to fit it in?

  6. Beautiful card!!! Therese, for my 3D folders, I use my Big Shot clear cutting plates in my Gemini Jr. instead of the Gemini ones. They’re just a little thinner so it reduces the pressure & prevents cracking! (A method I discovered completely by accident!) 🙂

  7. Love your card Therese, beautiful. I noticed that you use a Epsom printer, would you recommend them for printing coloured digi images.
Have a great day up in sunny QLD.
Rene from lovely Lake Macquarie. x

    1. Hi Rene, not much sun here last week, we’ve had 9″ of rain in the last 2 days lol. I do like the print from the Epsom but have rarely used it for digi images but when I did it wasn’t a problem. Previously I had HP printers and always found them to be quite good too. One tip I can give is to allow the image some ‘dry time’ before you use it or you can set it with a spray like this one https://www.artshedonline.com.au/micador-fixative-workable-mat-spray-450g/ Hope this is helpful, have a fabulous day, Crafty hugs Therese
