I Made 3 Beautiful Floral Cards in 1 HOUR! – LIVE Video!

Do you procrastinate? I know I do, especially when it comes to adding sentiments… but today I have 3 cards to share with you sentiments on them all lol!

I had a request to share some ideas on how to use the Altenew Vintage Garden Stamp Set in ‘bright’ colours, so I thought 3 examples might be better than just one, trouble is I wanted to fit it ALL into my LIVE, you can check out the process in the video linked below.

I started with some bright Ink Blended stripes.

And I added an Essentials By Ellen Nice Of You embossed sentiment.

Next I thought I would try the image in 2 different colours, and this time I used the Simple Coloring Stencil to add the subtle coloured layer.

I added the Waterbrush Hello Die sentiment and a subsentiment from the Hello and Hugs set.

Next, out came the Watercolor Brush Markers.

As well as a bit of sparkle added from the Pinkfresh Studio Jewels…. these are so dreamy!

You can see my LIVE video here or watch it in HD at YouTube.

I hope you were inspired to try some easy watercolouring! And if you want to join me for my next LIVE use THIS LINK on Wednesday April 7th at 8am (Brisbane AEST time). Looking forward to having some more fun then! Big Crafty Hugs,

Therese signature 2

  1. Great fun! And they all look so different! I like the dimensional orange flower the best, but it is a close race.

BTW—I enjoyed looking back at your design resume- VERY impressive. I noticed that your style has changed over the years. Is that because of the stamps and tools or how your tastes and techniques have changed? I was also wondering when and what started your card making journey. I went with a friend to a local card and paper store for a “make-and-take”, made a birthday card for my mother and I have been hooked ever since.

    1. Hi June, I started making cards as I loved to give ‘just the right card’ to someone and they were getting harder and more expensive to find… little did I know the money that I would eventually spend on this hobby lol. I have always been crafty and loved to colour and draw when I was as school but since then have only done hobbies like cross stitch, knitting, sewing etc. I simply decided that it was something that looked like fun to do so in 2005 I bought some cardstock and held it up against an envelope and cut it so that it would fit…. in retrospect it would have been easier to go to a class or watch a video but I didn’t even own a computer in those days and I certainly didn’t know about card classes or the companies that created the products. But I soon worked it out and never looked back! It’s been a very steep learning curve as I am not very technolgically minded but figure I’ll work it out along the way, these LIVES have problems of their own, but I just love crafting ‘with’ people and at the moment this is the perfect way to be able to do that. I hope you have a most wonderful weekend, Crafty hugs, Therese x ps Yes a definite growth / change of style over the years haha

      1. You are right.. this hobby can get expensive. I think I make the most expensive cards on the planet! Some days I curse the day I agreed to go with my friend to that “free” make-and-take! All the same, I love making cards, even if they don’t always turn out perfectly (like in my head), and I hope they bring joy to those I give them to. I know I enjoy watching you craft. Thanks for the reply!

      2. Yes, I hear you about the ‘perfect in my head’ cards lol. At least this craft gives us this community and crafty licence to have fun!

  2. I love how you show the versatility of a stamp – especially a large one! Gorgeous cards in wonderful colors, Therese! I’ve missed so much lately, but I hope I can make your next LIVE!

    1. so lovely that you had time to pop by, it’s the most precious thing at the moment and there shouldn’t be any pressures on it. Hope you are all well and safe, big hugs Tx

  3. What a fun time that replay was, Therese … AND you created three beautiful cards live … wow!! Don’t know that I’ve ever done that in the peace and quiet of my craft corner, never mind in front of millions of aficionado’s 🙂 ! I never mind when you’re live … at that time AEST, I’m asleep (or should be!) … and replays are a wonderful option. Thanks for yet more delicious inspiration! Hugs, Anita 🙂
