Do you like Critter Cards? And how about a quick die cutting tip to ‘stretch’ your dies? You can watch me create this sweet design LIVE at my video linked below!
This set is from the Colorado Craft Company and it is definitely ‘So Sweet’!

I did some simple Copic ‘watercolouring’ and added some shading and shadows with my Prismacolor Pencils.

Then I created my own panel and frame and was able to use the Waffle Flower Crafts A2 Layers Die…. no slimline die required!

Anita Jeram characters are so charming and you used them in such a cute way. I am considering buying some Copic markers, but there are so many different ones to choose from. Which would you recommend for a beginner?
I acutally have that on my ‘to do’ list and hope to have a chance on my holidays to make a ‘beginner list’ for Copics but basically don’t buy too many and only buy the colours that you love…. maybe look at which ink colours are your ‘go to’ and work from there. It also depends upon what you like to colour, ie critters / flowers / people. Thanks so much for your lovely visit here today Angie!
That would be awesome, but on your holiday? Aren’t you supposed to relax on holiday? There are different types of Copic markers too, so if you could add to your “to do” list, what type to buy for a beginner, I will love you forever!! ;D But seriously, have a relaxing time.
The frame looks like cookies and cream. Great for a candy card.
Thanks so much Roxanne, I’m so happy you like it!
OH wow, this is too too cute!!
It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve created a critter card and it was such fun!
You conquered your ‘technical difficulties’ and taught us how to stretch our supplies, Therese! The end result is SO adorable! Love every single bite of it!
=]
I am so happy to have you by my side my friend, when the panic sets in I know you are there, so a big thank you, yet again! ps probably a good thing there is a ‘mute’ lol.
SO ADORABLE! Those mice are just too cute! and of course, they are colored perfectly. I love all the Anita Jeram critters, and this card design is great for showing off all the chocolates!
Great tip about grounding, but you lost me on cool vs warm colors— sorry, but they are just grays to me!
It doesn’t really matter about the cool and the warm except some people say that they don’t mix well, but I always use them together and find they look great!
Haven’t had chance to watch the replay yet, Therese, but had to stop by to say this little scene is not only so sweet (as the sentiment says!) … it’s positively scrumptious … you made those tiny mice magical! Hugs, Anita 🙂
