Have you ever seen a card that you just had to recreate? Today I had to get this card ‘out of my system’……lol.
My inspiration came from one of my favourite papercrafters, Donna Mikasa and you can see her card that I just ‘had to’ make right HERE! She gave me permission to make my own version….

and to be honest I feel like this first one is very similar…. Though I did change up the colours and sentiment.

so I just had to try a second version….. This time I changed it up quite a bit more, I kept the 2 layers but added a frame and a different sentiment.

I hope you are also inspired today, don’t forget to check out Donna’s amazing BLOG, thank you my friend!

Wow! I’ve often been so inspired by others to try and recreate a card. Love you’re take on this card.
Would I be right in thinking you’ve got a glimmer machine? Love the sentiments.
Cheers
Lisa
Yes ahem, it fell into my hands, but it’s actually the Foilpress (to go with my gemini) and this was the first time I’d used it and it was easy….. can’t wait to play more when I get home from holidays!
I didn’t think I needed that die, but now, after seeing how you both to used it with layers, I NEED IT! Don’t be surprised if you see this design being used more and more 😉
Yes, I agree, the layers really make all the difference, Donna is a genius!
Beautiful replication of Donna’s design. To be honest most of your and Donna’s cards take my breath away! ;-P
Thanks so very much my friend x
Oh wow, these are so pretty … and Donna’s card is gorgeous too
Thanks so very much Gab!
I curled up my nose when I saw the die thinking, “Oh no, all those little flowers to color, that will take me forever!” Then I saw your clever trick and thought, “I can totally do that in half the time!” Not only that but the flowers stay in one bunch and not all these tiny little flowers you have to glue on individually. I’m loving this. I love both the cards, but my favorite is the one with the frame. Love how they peek out of it. Again, lovely cards again from a lovely talented person. Thank you.
You are so very sweet Angie! I agree this is a very clever die that gives a lot of options!
Your cards and Donna’s took my breath away too, Therese … these are quite simply and perfectly beautiful! ‘Nuff said! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Thanks sooo very much my friend x
Gorgeous!
Glad you are heading north! We are certainly not the place to be!!
Yes I was lucky that I went to Victoria and my Dad had his surgery when he did. Sending big hugs to you guys. Crossed fingers that this over with very soon!
