Altenew Adventures Ahead Stamps/Dies/Stencils/More Collection Release Blog Hop & Giveaway + Video!

Do you struggle making cards for men? Today I have a spectacular card to share with you!

But first, this post is part of a Hop celebrating a new release from Altenew so you should have arrived here from CAROL’s wonderful Blog.

I have 2 cards and a video to share with you today starting with a fun layered stencil set called Polka Dot Buds. I love that I can emboss with a stencil…. though it’s not something that I think to do very often.

My sentiment was also heat embossed from the Inky Bouquet Stamp Set and I used a Halftone Hearts Nesting Die to cut it out.

My second card is fun to SEE (wink), I had a blast creating a little scene with the Spectacular Adventures Stamp Set.

Perfect for a masculine design and the sentiment was a combination of Mega Brush Alpha the Crystal Frames Stamp Sets.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

  1. I’ve had my Lost in Paper adventure in reverse order today, Therese! Been there LOVED THAT incredibly cool scene, and your awesome sentiment!
You’ve also stenciled a custom paper I might just be inclined to purchase – then hoard! xx
    =]

  2. OMGosh! So pinning the sunglasses card! The sentiment with them is perfection too :). Well done 🙂

  3. The sun glass stamp set is so unique! your choice of grays was perfect for the city silhouette. Your design reminded me of “California Dreamin” for some reason and it definitely says “summer” to me— Great masculine card idea! Thank you for the mega alpha alignment tip— how did you know I needed help? 🙂

  4. Wow! Your card is so awesome! I really love what you did with the sunglasses! This would be a great card for my sons!

  5. Love those sunglasses. Thanks for the great how-to video with all the tips and tricks!

  6. I think we all love the sunglasses card, just brilliant. The Polka Dot Bud stencilled card is beautifully colourful and pretty. Undoubtedly both sets will be going into my shopping trolley. I hope you’re enjoying your holiday❤️

  7. Wonderful cards. Now not only do I need the Adventures aviator set, I need that Mega Alphas! So fun.

  8. Great use of such an imaginative sunglasses stamp and die set! Love the embossed stenciled paper too. Thanks for the inspiration.

  9. Therese, that first card is fantastic!! I love the gold with those warm and wonderful colors! And…the coloring of the scene in the glasses – woah!!

  10. Wonderful creations as usual! I really like the stencils you used. I think it is so clever and also so versatile, since you could use either one alone. More “bang for your buck”, as they say!

  11. I just love the glasses, well done! Of course the stencil card isn’t too bad either. Heehee

  12. Oh. My. Goodness! Those glasses are fan.friggin’.tastic!!! Love that one for sure.

  13. When I first opened your page and saw the card with the sunglasses I thought, Awesome! Love the way you added dimension with the dot stencil!

  14. Sigh! This is awesome. Wish I could have had this set for creating my grandson’s high school graduation card. He graduates tomorrow! However, college is looming and I have two younger grandsons coming along! Lol!

  15. Bonjour, Therese 🙂 I am so thrilled you highlighted the Polka Dot Buds, that product jumped right out at me. I love how you used it, beautifully done ( reminds me a little of Orla Kiely designs! The glasses card is nothing short of phenomenal!

  16. Great project shares for the stencil and the shades. I like the color and embossing mix for the stencil.

  17. Wonderful cards. I especially love the second one — I love the fun Spectacular Adventures set!

  18. Adorable cards! I think I must have had a dress made in that flower pattern in the early 70s!

  19. Love the stencil card! That stencil seems to offer endless fun and possibilities!

  20. I was so happy to see you use the the detailed blending brushes as I just ordered them and wasn’t sure if I would find them useful! Boy I love the effect & easy to get in small spaces. Those sun glasses are so adorable. My order is going in now. As usual your videos are succinct, informative and all that with giggles – what fun.

  21. Fun card that is also very artistic and contemporary! I definitely like “awesome“ better in this situation. It fits the space better than “cool” yet it conveys a similar idea.
Love this stamp set from Altenew!

  22. Amazing card! And I am SO glad you made a video. You are so creative and skilled in your background creation- and in creating each element of your card for that matter!

  23. Love both of them! The jet black heart really stands out against the busier pattern of the stencilled floral background…sooo pretty! But the sunglass card really is just the coolest! I know that I keep saying that along this hop, but it truly is! The colours you chose for yours and paired with the sentiment and the style of script is just complete and utter perfection! The grey inks you used give it kind if a grungy feel to it! You nailed them!

  24. Your funky florals are fabulous, Therese … vibrant and full of energy … the black sentiment heart really pops against them! How cool are those glasses with the reflected city scene … clever, creative, brilliant … with a funky vibe! Hugs, Anita 🙂
