It was a close RACE and the WINNER was…….

Unique Distress Ink Backgrounds and even better, this is 4 for 1….. which means 4 cards from 1 Distess Ink background! I adore the end results of this technique which was inspired by the wonderful Tiffany Solorio. You can check out her blog HERE.
Here are the four finished card designs. Starting with the first one which uses the Majestic Mistletoe Stamp Set.

I added a bold Christmas Circles sentiment (which is inset) as well as some fun Red Droplets.

Next I used the Arabesque Medallion which is not a holiday set but seemed to work perfectly.

I followed Tiffany’s lead and kept my sentiments simple. This is one from the Very Merry Set from Concord & 9th.

Time for another mistletoe card,

with a sentiment from the Triangle Trees Stamp Set.

And my final design is different again.

This time I added a die cut Jumbo Joy sentiment, which is one of my faves for the Holiday season.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.
I do have another LIVE planned and you don’t want to miss this one as I am going to try Daniel’s Storybook Coloring With Copic Markers. This came second by only 1 vote so I just have to try this technique as well!
When: 8am on Tuesday 24th August AEST (Brisbane time). But for you guys in the USA I would recommend using the World Clock to work it out because it’s on Monday for you… and the UK /EU thank you for staying up late!
I hope you were inspired to create some Distress Ink backgrounds. Remember to share and tag me as I’d love to see what you create. As always, thank you so very much for your ongoing support, I’ll be back real soon, Crafty hugs,

Enjoyed the video— lots of fun to watch live. The red accents really finish off the cards nicely. The greens blended together so well. . My favorite color is green and I think one of my very favorites is the Distress color Mowed Lawn.
I was a bit concerned that the greens wouldn’t look as good as the blues but I agree, they came out so bright and fun, it was definitely the ‘mowed lawn’ that stole the show!
Really enjoyed the live show this morning Therese. Great results with those backgrounds and wow finishes with the touches of red. Love the two tones on the big JOY die.
thanks so much Ina, I definitely had to go for red and these droplets were perfect!
Really enjoyed watching you live and seeing everyone’s comments. My favourite card is the last one with the Joy sentiment. It’s a real statement card and so unique.
Sooo happy you could join the LIVE Delia, it’s always so fun to create together!
Great to watch Therese! Love the finished cards using that fun background! The adddition of the red dots and bold sentiments is perfect to take them to the next level!! Inspirational!! x
Thanks so much Helen. It always amazes me how different a card can look by just changing up the sentiments, because basically they are all the same panel!
Thanks so much for sharing the finished cards Therese! I joined you for the live and it was great! Loved watching the process.
Yay! so happy you could join me, they are such fun. Though it was weird how the heat tool sound is cut in and out…. lol.
these really turned out beautiful and you did 4 fronts with one sheet of paper! Love this!
Thanks so much Carolyn. And I like how they all look different (even though it’s the same piece of paper) just by changing up the sentiment!
Beautiful background idea! Love that your get multiples from one technique.
ooh and a messy technique for me too lol.
Goods ideas. I like the extra green in the big medallion card with the bold joy – makes a big difference to the look.
I agree, I did consider stamping more of the background, but decided to keep it more ‘simple’. Glad you like them Christine!
More fabulousness again Therese, just adore all of your cards 😉 Viv xx
Yay! Thanks so much Viv!
Awesome cards. Love the green! such a great colour
Thanks so much Vicki. I wasn’t sure about the green until it was finished, i was just so in love with the teals…. but I needed to change it up.
