Have you ever tried alcohol inks with Foil?? Today I thought I would give it a try, and you can let me know how you think it worked out?
But first did you know that this is part of a new release at Altenew! And we are hopping along to celebrate so you should have arrived here from REIKO’s brilliant Blog!
These cards were so simple to create, I started with a fun one created with the All Things Sweet Set.
I added a fabulous Splatter Hot Foil Plate background.
And a sentiment from an older set called Way Too Sweet.
Next I had some fun with this huge hot foil die called Eucalyptus Wreath.
I used a Yupo style paper so I thought it would be great to add colour with Alcohol Ink Refills. It did lift the foil just a little, but it didn’t lose it’s shine.
This time I added the Fancy Hello sentiment and some Antique Gold Sequins. I’m going to have to work a little more on this technique and see if I can improve on it… what do you think?

Great foiling. The alcohol ink on yupo with the foil is interesting. You could paint the ink on as well. Didn’t the ink colour the foil?
The ink seemed okay with the foil, but I think it was the blending solution that lifted some of foil colour, but the shine was still there…. so I will have to experiment a little more…. I sound like you lol.
